I liked the pacing on the dialog. The processing on the background images felt like it fit nicely with the sprite too. Cool stuff.

This game was really neat! Having enemy types be something for the player to visually/conceptually deduce was cool, and figuring out the right combination of abilities for each area and fight felt rewarding. I liked the lack of progression/grinding, it made the game came down to a lot of decisionmaking - and a little luck here and there. I also enjoyed the dynamic between the characters and the little arc that was presented.

A nice bite-sized adventure! It was fun to learn the ins and outs of the combat, and the map was a nice sweet spot of being open enough to explore and find some alternate routes while not being overwhelming or easy to get lost in.
