Yeah it's completely understandable that's it out of scope it would take good effort to add it. And you're right yeah it does get a lot easier when your characters die and if you intended that then it's perfect! So yeah good job on this game :D.

Yeah it's alright, I just really liked that door knob mechanic because it reminds me a lot of Detroit become human's actions and they just made it super satisfying and yours has real good potential and I always do love a good stealth game. I personally think tutorial should be prioritized over start screen cause if they don't understand your game it's hard to play it, but don't worry yours didn't have that issue, it was easy to understand. Goodluck on updating this game and your next game :D
It's okay i completely understand, if I'm being honest I couldn't get any playtests during this short timeframe and I think if I did I could've made this tutorial a lot easier, and just the wall running in general. You're not missing anything here I just didn't get the right difficulty😅. Thank you for trying again though I appreciate it :D
Thank you for this feedback, this is really valuable. I'll be honest I thought coyote time was a 2D thing only, but I'll keep this in mind, this was my first time creating a 3D movement based game😅. Also all the other QoL features (especially the debris collision, for some reason i couldn't fix that so I had to leave it) you mention are really good points and I think it'll make this game a lot better so thank you so much for pointing all this out.
This is an amazing game. The art is super nice, the sound effects are also really well done. Clicking and breaking the blocks just feel super satisfying at the start and they just get better with more and more upgrades, its really addicting. I also love you put a tutorial, because I feel like a lot of people overlook how important that is so thank you for having one :D. The music was super chill and the way the upgrades are designed are really nice, cause the first upgrade just shows you how good these upgrades are and I usually don't play clicker games but this was super good.
Overall, great game jam entry, probably one of the best ones so far. Good job :D
Great game :D
I loved the visuals and atmosphere, it is very well done and feels super polished. The little blobs were super cute also :D. It was really sad I had to sacrifice one of them :(
I loved the ambient SFX and the cute dialogue SFX, those were great additions to the game
The map design is also very well done because as long as I kept walking I would eventually find my way and the blobs are short enough distance from each other to keep me going.
I will say there is one problem, I think you were trying to tell a story through the blobs? The first blob was okay to understood most of it when it was just one blob, but the more blobs they were the harder it was to understand cause it felt like they were all telling something different.
But overall, this is a great game jam entry especially considering the time frame this feels super polished already so good job :D
Nice game, really cool aesthetics and I love the effort of a start screen as well. But I noticed the game ends a bit too quickly😅. Next jam you should prioritize gameplay over everything else, get the core loop down and then start working on the extras like a start screen, SFX, etc.
But nice attempt, it would be nice to see where this goes.
Really cool stealth game!
The concept is there and I can see this with a lot of potential. It was a bummer that there was no SFX but I understand it's just a jam after all. The art is really nice especially for the escape and the hand.
Here are some points of improvements:
- I think there should be a tutorial of some sorts telling me I can crouch cause I didn't know till I read the controls in the description
- This is a web only issue but making Ctrl the crouch makes you close the tab if you press Ctrl + W😅
- There was a bug where when I escaped the enemy he would block me by like constantly pushing me to a wall and that just made the other enemy tweak out for some reason, it was really funny to see that though
- The door was a very nice idea and I actually quite liked it but opening it wasn't as easy, from what I understand you made the cursor have to touch the door handle right? I think making the entire hand touch the door handle to open would feel a lot better. But its a very cool concept, when I got it, it felt really satisfying to open the door.
I think if you worked on these improvements it has good potential to be a great stealth game. But overall, it's a really nice game and I quite enjoyed playing it. :D
This is really cool! I'm surprised it doesn't have more ratings. It definitely is one of the more polished games of this jam. You were able to do a lot in just 3 days. I loved the animations and the SFX, so really well done on that. I was able to repay my debt :D so that's good. There was clearly a lot of thought gone into the characters as well cause the character do something different when they win, loose or get hidden which was a really nice touch.
I will say one small critique you should definitely somehow be able to upgrade stats considering the stat requirements for the mission is pretty high. I was able to clear the game cause most my party died and gwen gained ton of strength, so it was easy to keep rolling onto Gwen😅, but it is a game jam after all so I understand if you couldn't include that.
Overall this is a great game and I really enjoyed it, great game jam entry :D
This is a small and simple but really well implemented concept. I loved the animation they felt very polished and the idea is really nice and addicting. I did have myself try multiple times but I only got up till 36😭. It is very interesting and could be expanded upon easily. Especially with SFX and music, that would really make the game a lot better, but its a super small jam so it's understandable.
Overall really fun game, I enjoyed it a lot :D
Very nice game! I can see this being the base for something a lot more expansive. The core movement mechanics and systems felt good and I liked the effects in the start screen when you click the button, it felt super polished.
I also appreciate that you have a tutorial to give the players a sense of direction on what to do so that was really good.
I would love to see more levels of this in the future :D
Overall, great game jam entry good job :D
This was a really nice game. I liked the concept and the movement felt good for the most part. The voiceover after dying is really funny.
I do think the attack was a bit slow and the animation was a bit buggy. Also there is a bug if I die twice in a very short amount of time 2 of the same voiceover plays on top of each other.
Other than that it's a really cool game, good job :D
Really cool game. The pixel art is amazing, I love the monochromatic art. I think you should definitely tell the players or somehow imply about the grappling hook in a form of a tutorial because I didn't know they existed😭.
It is very cool that you can see where the other people died so that's a nice addition to it.
Overall really nice game, I quite enjoyed playing it. Good job :D
Neat game! Nice concept, I like how it's not the same person respawning but different miners. The pixel art is cute and nice and the SFX is very well done.
Some points of improvements:
I think maybe a jump button and a mining upwards button might help because sometimes I accidentally mined down but I can't mine above me.
There isn't really a goal, at least not from what I understand, I think adding a goal or making it clearer would be nice.
Overall it's a really nice game, so good job :D
Very cool concept! I loved it and how unique it is. It definitely feels nice to dash around and the pixel art is also well done. There is a bug that launches me to the other side of the map in the first level, I don't know what triggers it but I just get launched.
I will say the stamina system definitely feels limiting because I have to wait for it to regenerate, I feel like removing the stamina system might make the game better and feel better and more fast paced, because the movement itself is very fast but the stamina makes you wait which makes it feel super slow.
Other than that feedback, I think this game was really well made and has a lot of potential to be a super fast paced fun action game. Good game jam entry :D
I really liked this game :D. The atmosphere and lighting was very nice and well done I liked the minimalistic pixel art, it made it look polished. I liked the concept that you play as different cave explorers and their death helps you, that's a very cool concept.
It was tricky to understand the mechanic at first but after a bit I understood what I was doing and after that it was smooth sailing. I will say the jump charging does feel slow so when you die and restart it kinda feels bad to walk all the way because the charging jump is kinda slow, but that's just a personal preference.
Overall this is really cool and I enjoyed this game, so good job :D
Hey there! First of all I have to say I love the art, it's really well done. The SFX as well also, it just feels super polished.
I did find it hard to get past day 3 because I didn't understand how I'm meant to make money😭. So I just kept hiring but no money came in, so I do think your game could heavily benefit from a tutorial. But other than that its a nice game. Good job :D
This is a really cool game! I really like the art and the music, the SFX is also nice. I think they add well to the game feel. I did find it hard to control the tree roots at first cause sometimes when the gnome is super close to the tree and I click the gnome the tree branch doesn't exactly go there. Also maybe making the gnome hitbox just a bit bigger might be nice (but maybe it's just a skill issue from my side😅)
But I think if you worked on this more this could def turn out to be a great roguelike with upgrades and all in the future.
Overall it's a great game jam entry, good job :D
This is a really cool game. First I love the art, it's really well done and the limited use of colors is just really nice to look at. The animations for the player, the jelly fish and the shoot are also super smooth. The SFX is also well done and the overall concept and implementation of the theme is simple and nice. Movement and camera movement also feels super polished to play with.
Here are some few critiques I have:
I think this game will heavily benefit from some sort of tutorial as I didn't know the button R refilled my charges.
Sometimes the enemies spawned right one me which ended the run, I think there should be a safe zone around the player where the enemy can't spawn.
In the future I can definitely see this expanded upon being a roguelike where you get upgrades after each wave and variety of enemy types while you try to defend your tower.
Overall this is a great game jam entry, good job :D
This is a very cool concept. I love the dimension switching, I'm a big fan of that. The pixel art and the music is really good as well.
The level design is well done, I really appreciate the scale in difficulty and teaching the players the mechanics so it's more satisfying when we solve the puzzle. I would love to see this idea expanded upon in the future!
One small bug, when in full screen for some reason the next level button wouldn't work, but that's only in full screen, outside of that it works.
Overall I really like this game and its a great game jam entry :D
Cool game. First of all I have to say the visuals are super polished and probably the most polished I've seen so far. I love that VHS tape aesthetic.
This definitely feels like a Foddian game, an interesting mechanic but it makes you rage😅, and from that perspective it's very well done. The oxygen mechanic is interesting and the level design does feel like a Foddian game. I do feel the player moves a bit too slow and the speed could be bumped up.
Here's some post jam feedback I have:
I think your game will really benefit from music and sfx, but due to the given constraints its understandable you couldn't add that.
Maybe WASD and space support would also be nice because me personally I'm more used to that but I could still play fine with arrow keys
Overall, its a great game :D
