The kiddo  loved the game! We started it together, with me "GMing" until we got a hang of the rules, but after a few rounds they took over completely.  Props to y'all for the rules being so intuitive and well organized! They eventually did build a  raft and escape!

They didn't want to journal while playing but they would tell me little anecdotes of how each day went as it was going. Plus, adding in sound effects when spreading destruction! They had strong opinions that we weren't going to destroy any forests: "NO check marks allowed!!" The kiddo didn't get any of the achievements except for Hard Mode (sooo close to Conservationist!) so I'll get that printed soon.

They wanted to suggest a Legacy version of the game where you use your finished playsheet but create a new character that arrives at a random hex and has to start from there while the island is already upset. I'm not sure that version would have a high chance of success, but it is an intriguing idea!

Omg, your fey and my raccoons would get along swimmingly! :)

I've always loved Changeling: the Dreaming, and Changeling: the Lost, so this game's concepts feel very lovely and familiar to me. I especially like the party choosing an over-arching goal, and that it can be Epic or just workplace chatting, That really represents how strange and fascinating our "ordinary" life is as humans.

This is a fantastic little system for a 72-hour game! I love the concept of a Hero in a Monster's body, the struggle of Good and Evil. I agree with the comment below about stat values. Reading through it, the skills + starts section was a bit confusing to me. It does feel very weighted to failure, which could be exactly what you were going for! :) So, if that was the intent, rock on.

I also appreciate that you included a section on improving and boosting skills and such. That really lends it to a campaign set-up instead of just a one-shot.

The personal nature of this game, and the complete flexibility for setting/background, makes this really cool. I really appreciate how much you built in to allow players to manage and support their own mental and emotional health. This seems really simple but I love that your framework allows for a lot of personal exploration.

Yes! I love roll&write games and this one sounds like a blast! This has so many fun layers of mechanics and strategy. I'm printing this out for Spring Break next week to use with my 9 year-old.

This seems like such a fun game! I could see this developed further into an asymmetrical board game with multiple players taking on roles for the Swamp Guardian and members of the Boat Crew. I love the level of detail you included while still laying it all out very clearly.

This game seems really fun with the blend of real world settings and in-game adventures!

I like the flexibility of the challenge options and the way the dice step up!

Initially, the concept of one winner at the end felt a little jarring to me. But it does increase the strategy for the whole thing, so I think it works!

Exactly! Art should be fun, and I wanted to give adults an experience that was channeling their inner messy child. 😁

I'm so so very glad that someone went with a Clerks game for the prompt. 😆

The mood and language of this game is super evocative. I like it!

This is awesome! Who hasn't wanted to have a whole toy store to themselves at some point in their life?

The gameplay seems really cute and entertaining. The tags are a neat way to give each toy their uniqueness. Plus, I really enjoy the vibe, art, and design. Having the journaling prompts is also a nice touch!
