Summarize your game!
Our game is a pretty simple puzzle game where you are placing planets in orbits around a sun.
Each level has different objectives to complete in order to make a "stable solar system".
In addition to that, planets themselves have rules that need to be followed.
All you need is a mouse to drag and drop planets so controls are really simple.
Please explain how your game fits the theme.
In Orbits, the player’s cursor is a hand, and the planets each have eyes that follow the hand, and expressions to show their happiness or distaste with their position in the system.
This is meant to illustrate the creation of these systems by some force more powerful than the planets’ populations, the player. Each world is patiently waiting to see where they will placed in the system in hopes that they will be stable and comfortable.
Did you use Generative AI to make any assets in your game?
No
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
We spent a lot of time trying to get across what you can and can't do in the game. adding highlights where planets can be placed, and adding detailed tutorial messaging. We also think the game itself just plays really well and came together nicely in the end. We also all loved how the eyes on the planets look.

Playability:
Really great game overall and something that could be used to great effect in educational environments. You should honestly pursue fully creating this game. Nice work.
Theme:
Doesn't fit the theme strongly but that's just fine. You've made something that is incredibly compelling despite that.
Cleverness:
Really clever use of puzzle mechanics here. I really enjoyed the multiple modifiers possible with the moons. Can't wait to see how you expand this.
Artistic Style:
Silly facial expressions and easy to understand art direction. Overall solid work and good experience.
Great game! Challenging and innovative. I couldn't beat the last level; my brain was fried by then. x_x Very enjoyable.
I had a ton of fun playing this, I kept thinking that maybe you had given me an impossible level and then figured it out. I had toms of fun. I did have some problems with clicking and felt the return to home a bit cumbersome as I was trying to navigate around the game but GOODNESS this was fun! I had a really great time!
Really enjoyed playing the puzzles in this game! Appreciated the sfx feedback on all the actions such as correct planet placements, button presses, and completing levels. The puzzles I was able to do with the time I had were very satisfying when completed and the tutorial was so well done. It didn't like babysit but made everything clear. This would be great on mobile or any market imo. Keep up the great work!
Really cool game and it worked really well. The puzzles got satisfyingly difficult as well, great job!
Very very cool little game! I really like how it starts out super simple and slowly teaches you as you go. Graphics and sound were fun too, if a bit simplistic (not a criticism, I like games with simple graphics - more just an observation). But, despite that - it is a complete package and really well put together!
Nice, that's like a full game, but I couldn't finish the last level.
Really solid all around, loved the YAY for each win, also felt like despite very simple mechanics they were built into some puzzles that were definitely not trivial to solve. The levels where a planet had to have at least 1 or a specific number of moons were easily the most challenging.
This was a pretty fun puzzle type game. The art style was fun and the concept was well thought out. Nice work!
I like how the world's were actually watching you by following your mouse. The later levels really took some thinking and created difficult puzzles with the straight forward mechanics the game has. I ended up finishing the game and it had good incentive to keep pushing to finish the 30 levels as what I think it the team cheers you on every level.
Thanks so much for your kind words, finishing all 30 levels is really impressive!
