Early XR prototype?

The Arnolfini Portrait by Jan Van Eyck is probably the one of the first extended reality proof of concepts I saw. The truth is that an artists prowess was in depicting reality, before photography was invented. Still I was inspired by this artwork's attention to detail and trompe l'oeil ('fool the eye").

NVIDIA Adopts Vision Pro with it's Issac Groot AI Enabled Robots

Unveiled at CES earlier this month, NVIDIA's keynote introduced several amazing new features, but Issac Groot caught my eye. You can see someone training a robot with Vision Pro and hand tracking. The future is promising and a little scary!

Play For Dream device also validates Vision Pro

You'd be excused for thinking this device is a Vision Pro. I does seem to mimic a lot of the engineering that went into Vision Pro. This device runs on a Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chip, boasts foveated rendering, 8K display, eye-tracking, controller and voice controls, as well as being AI enabled. It was only a matter of time before competitors brought out more avanced products. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery - I'm being really polite here. :p

VOY Tuneable Inserts for Vision Pro

Having trouble sharing your Vision Pro with family members with differing vision impairments. I know I am. VOY makes inserts for XR devices and is now bringing them to Vision Pro for around $99 USD. They have a slider control and are tuneable from 0 diopters (D) of nearsightedness to +6 D of farsightedness. I'm no optician but I know my own vision is between these factors. I personally own two pairs on Zeiss Inserts and neither one is perfect for me. A tuneable pair sounds like a perfect option.

My Vision Pro M5 with Anapro 2, Logitech Muse, & 3D printed holder. Hands On With the Logitech Muse For Vision Pro During WWDC 2025, Apple announced that Vision Pro would gain support for third-party controllers — specifically the Logitech Muse and the PlayStation VR2 Sense Controllers. The Logitech Muse is a spatially tracked stylus offering six degrees of freedom (6DoF), force sensors on the tip, side buttons, haptic feedback, and pressure-sensitive tips. Xcode 26 Persona now uses Gaussian Splats for better rendering. One Week with Vision Pro M5 It’s been a week since I got my new Vision Pro M5 — the second configuration from Apple — and I’m ready to share my impressions. TL;DR: It’s noticeably sharper and faster than the original Vision Pro. It’s a great choice for first-time Vision Pro buyers, or for developers and those working with Apple Intelligence, which is ~50% faster, and 3rd-party apps are now up to 2x faster. The Vision Pro M5 is an...
