I have the need, and want, to start something new and close the doors temporarily on past projects. I started multiple things almost all at once and was interrupted, more than twice. I couldn't catch up. And you know what? It is what it is. I'm not upset or even disappointed.

I'll be keeping these projects on hold and that's ok. In the meantime, I'll enjoy finding myself again. My search for another internet home has begun, as I am domain hunting. This will always be here, no matter wherever else I am (issuez.net). I just need something fresh for my photography and other art. I am constantly changing.

And my mind has been drifting a lot lately.. it's a little cluttered, and I need some time.

I went through and got rid of/made private, almost every entry until about a year before I found out I was pregnant. And I still might go through those and delete/privatize, I just need a little more time.

It's ok to cleanse and refresh. Everything was so cluttered and disorganized. (In my brain, right) Since I am refreshing all of my websites and whatnot, I decided just to go ahead and do it on livejournal, also. Even though, no one really uses it anymore.

Update on my life? You can read about it in status updates on facebook or twitter. @issuez - for both.

After I get my websites and blogs back in order, I will start back here with xposts again. Until then, I'll read my friends journal updates... well, when you make them. Sometime. If ever.

Update?!

Mike.
It's been a little over 3 months since my husband broke his femur & had surgery. All is going well with his physical therapy sessions. His Doctor also told him on Monday that he no longer needs his knee brace.. AND, that when he feels comfortable, he can start walking on it. He still has a little ways to go before he starts walking, but he's been getting around with only 1 crutch pretty well. (I can't wait to go get him a pimp cane.) His road rash has left nasty magenta scars all over his lower leg and all [but one] of his surgical incisions are healed. The only thing we're watching now is one of the 17 screws used to put his femur back together has backed out a heads worth. Otherwise, I am so happy that he's healed so well and that I do not have to change bandages, at all, anymore. The Doc said I did better work than most of his nurses and that made me feel awesome, even if he was blowing smoke.

Me.
I'm usually pretty busy taking care of everything but myself lately.. which is wrong for me to do. Slowly, I am working in time for myself and now I'm trying to add friends back in my life. Not that I lost any, but I know it's time for me to start socializing normally again. I know, freak accidents and bad luck - you cannot plan for. But I've been taking the time to photograph more things, as photography IS my form of therapy. I have many creative ideas for near future shoots and have been trying to get back into the swing of things. It seems the past few years, I'm always on some sort of hiatus - from photography, life... Maybe it's just an excuse and I need to build more confidence within myself. Yea, quite possibly.

Everything else.
As soon as Mike is better again, we're getting snowshoes.. FOR WINTER TREKKINGS IN THE MOUNTAINS. Excited. And I'm excited for snowmobiling also. We didn't even get to ride them last year.. so this year, I AM READY. I'm ready for things to be white below and blue above. I'm ready for frozen snot and scarves and BEANIES. OH HOW I LOVE MY BEANIES. I'm ready for winter photography and hot chocolate from the gas station around the corner. I'm ready for sushi trips to Estes Park when everyone else (newbs and tourists) think the mountains close in the winter so there's no traffic. I'm ready and it will be here soon.

Big plans in motion for next year... granted we've had to hold off on a few big plans this year because of the accident, but we'll be back on track very soon. Just gotta... HOLDDDD ON FOR ONE MORE DAY, YEA. HOLD ONNNNNNNNNN FOR ONE MORE DAY, THINGS WILL GO YOUR WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY. Hold on for one more day. Yes, I really did just sing that. Thanks H&K.

You would have been 29 today. I can't believe it's been almost a year and a half since you left us.. Two of your birthdays have passed since your death. Time flies, period, whether you're having any fun or not. It's just that when you're not having any fun, you don't notice the time slip by. At least I didn't.

We've all changed in some way or another. The healing, for the most part, has begun.. but that doesn't mean we miss you any less. The girls are getting so big. They are beautiful- inside and out, just like you. And they are so smart. We all are amazed by them every day.

Though we are still having some issues in dealing with some remaining "situations", we are doing our best to move on with the little bit of normalcy that we have left so that we can lead semi happy lives again. Those speed bumps.. they can be big sometimes. I mean, let's face it.. there is no handbook to guide us through your fathers untimely death from Myotonic Dystrophy and then your car accident, 2 short months later.

Point is, we're moving on, but not without you in our hearts. I can't keep slipping back into the depression any longer. I miss you both so much, but for my own sanity, it's time.

I still promise, everything that I promised you on the year anniversary of yours.. And Peyton & Morgen will know who you are, no matter what anyone says in the future.

Love you Liss. Your brother & I miss you even more.

Christmas has come and gone.. I can truthfully say I am relieved and, eh, about it being over. Not depressed, not sad.. just ready for new beginnings and living life again. 2009 was shittier than 2008, since 2008 was a total blur. It was like we were zombies, just moving around.. brain dead, in our own lives. 2009- the impact of 2008 hit us hard. But, the important thing is that we have all learned and moved on. I am eager to get 2010 rung in officially. Though the past couple of weeks I have already put it in my head that it's time... Time to heal the heart.

I've been deep cleaning and totally rearranging the house. Scrubbing, de-cluttering, getting rid of things I do not want any longer, rearranging the furniture & preparing the walls for a brand new sparkly paint job. Renewal. I'm a Libra, I need constant change around me and this is the way I deal with that.

^^^Replanted my Lucky Bamboo. It's in a fish bowl with the rocks I collected from Rialto Beach, Washington, while Allison & I were on our trip. Can't wait to go back next year and collect more rocks. It's such a simple thing, to want to do.

^^^I would just like to say that Acme Made's Bowling Bag camera tote is pretty freakin sweet. Of course it doesn't hold all of my camera equipment but I got it for every day use. It protects my cameras and still has room for my wallet. Hah! I just wish they made it in black or dark midnight blue, too. I need more for my other cameras.

Since Mike's birthday is on Christmas Eve, it's his family tradition to hang out together and eat chili & potato soup & cinnamon rolls. Every year. He really kind of gets ripped off for his birthday especially since he hates potato soup. And this year they didn't even make chili. It was just potato soup. So we went out with a few friends last night for sushi to celebrate his birthday the way he wanted it. I think we will make it an annual tradition of our own. Or monthly.. or weekly...

We had our own Tea Room in the back of the restaurant (which is good, because we're pretty obnoxious and we don't really care).. Can't wait to do it again because the sushi was fabulous.

^^^Hot Sake on a cold day is one of my most favorite things in the whole world.

^^^Holy Hell. Colorado Roll from Zanmai. It's raw Filet Mignon and it's my new favorite thing to eat.

Yea yea.

Went to the weed store (a legal MMJ dispensary) in Windsor today. They know me by my name now. On my way home I stopped by The Promenade Shops at Centerra because I wanted pictures of the big blue Xmas tree they have up there.

I discovered the Ice Rink and watched this lady skating with her kids take notice to me with my camera and instantly starts skating like she's training for the Winter Olympics. She'd be all prim and proper and act like she was gonna go into a jump spin but at the last minute she would just turn and look back at me.. and continued this routine at least 4 or 5 more times. I was laughing inside. I sat next to the fire pit and a guy with a dark gray Adronicus Mastiff moved in REALLY close to me... I snapped some photos as the dog sat less than a foot from my face, staring at me. I would have taken some photos of him if he didn't already look like he was gonna get rowdy if I looked at him for too long. Someday when I have nothing better to do with 4 grand, I'll have one of those beasts. Well, maybe.

That's Michelle Kwan right there in the middle ice skating.. Just kidding. It's that lady.

Before heading home I stopped at the 7/11 a block from my house to get coffee. I asked for 3 regular Bic lighters and the guy behind me in line says "Someone's in for some hardcore smoking later.." Oh great.. busted by the normals. haha.

And the guy ringing up my stuff says "Or has thieves for friends."
So I said, "Yea, I'm just replacing spent ones."
Cashier guy that's familiar with us comes out of the dark, "I thought you guys quit smoking cigarettes!"
I reply "We did...."
Dude in line behind me "Yea that's what I was saying!"
Cashier "6.20$ is your change."
Guy behind me in line chuckles and belts out "6.20?? Are you sure it's not 420???? HAHA."
Cashier "Heh Hee"
I managed to get out, in my best Peter Griffin laugh, "hehhh hehh heeeh hehhhhe hehhhehehh."

And I grabbed my stuff and ran out the door laughing. Not that I was embarrassed. I like the cashier dude and don't really care that he knows. The 50 year old guy in line behind me made me laugh. He reminded me of this guy at the dispensary that looked like he just stepped out of an executive meeting at some corporate building. Just goes to show you that people of ALL walks of life smoke pot for whatever reason or another, and it's OK. No one is asking anyone else to smoke pot. The people that do partake in enjoying the wonderful herb, just want to do so legally.

I just finished previously mentioned 7/11 coffee. I really like the White Chocolate Carmel Latte... though I feel like I will be up for hours.
