Hello,

the guile-team branch is now second in line behind gnome-team. So if you
still want to add commits, now would be the time. Depending on whether
gnome-team builds out well or we see unexpected problems, guile-team
could move up quickly in the queue.

How about adding the ungrafting of glibc to this branch? It should be
relatively safe, and we could have two world rebuilds in one.

In any case, I have rebased on current master. In case you wish to
rebase later on, please make sure to select as base a commit that is
green on

Thanks,

Andreas

Currently we’re at 5k rebuilds per arch with this branch; that’d make it
33k instead.

I’m tempted to wait ungraft in ‘core-packages-team’ instead, which will
take longer, but we can stabilize the branch earlier if that helps.

WDYT?

Great, thanks!

Yes, I was surprised to see so few rebuilds; then it is indeed better
to wait.

Hi,

I have updates for guile-websocket and guile-hoot. Should I push them to
guile-team or make a separate PR?

Thanks,

- Dave

they have almost no dependent packages, so can go directly to master now,
no need to go through and wait for guile-team. The team branches are used
only when changes cause massive rebuilds.

Okay, thanks for the clarification!

Hello,

just to let you know that I have rebased the branch, without any
problems.

Hello,

since we are close to merging gnome-team, and guile-team is next in
line, I have already rebased guile-team on gnome-team; so that when
building starts it will directly "count" towards the final shape of this
branch.

Excellent, thanks!

There’s https://codeberg.org/guix/guix/pulls/6909, which is targeting
‘guile-team’. But worst case, it can also go later to ‘master’.

gnome-team is merged, and guile-team rebased.

You can still push the PR on top.

By chance, r-team was evaluated before guile-team, and the build farm
had already finished a third of the packages; so I have decided to let
r-team go to the front.

In the end that was good since guile-team failed to evaluate:
I hope I did not make a mistake when rebasing, which is entirely possible.
Actually, I realised that rebasing on gnome-team, then rebasing gnome-team
on master did not work out at all; git is confused when then asked to
rebase on master. In the end I have checked out master and cherry-picked
the eleven commits previously on this branch, which should be rather safe.

I do not see an error message in the evaluation; it may be enough to
simply rebase, I will give it a try.

Hello,

‘guile-team’ merged in ‘master’ with commit
01ff86a9bb2ac99232845ea70c91adbf117236d3!

Prior to that I verified ‘./pre-inst-env guix build -P1 guile@3.0.11
--no-grafts -n’ since that’s the only package modified, apart from the
fix in ‘nss-certs-for-test’.

All is good, except for delays getting substitutes “baked” on ci.guix
(right now the LibreOffice substitute hasn’t arrived yet even though
LibreOffice was successfully built 15+ hours ago).

Thanks,
Ludo’.
