IRF 2026 Annual Conference
The International Road Federation (IRF) is hosting its 2026 Annual Conference in Geneva, bringing together a diverse international audience to discuss the future of road networks within the framework of the United Nations Decade of Sustainable Transport 2026–2035. The Conference will highlight roads’ central role in fostering inclusive, safe, green and efficient roads by driving the uptake of innovative policies and solutions and accelerating real world improvements.
Key objectives of the Conference
- Innovate for Sustainability: Showcase cutting-edge technologies in road design, materials and maintenance to improve access, safety, reduce emissions and enhance resilience and efficiency.
- Foster Collaboration: Facilitate dialogue among policymakers, industry experts and practitioners to align road infrastructure with multimodal, inclusive transport strategies.
- Prepare “Next Generation” Road Mobility: Develop actionable frameworks and data enabling the transition to digital road management tools and connected and cooperative road mobility.
- Drive Global Impact: Inspire sustainability stewardship partnerships that support the UN Decade’s levers of change, ensuring roads continue supporting the development goals.

The WRS Data is one of the most complete source of data for the road transport sector. The 62nd edition encompasses data for the years 2018 – 2023, for over 200 countries and territories, and over 200 indicators.
