Laughter
There is a man near us who for six days out of seven is perfectly happy, but on one of those days he sits cross-legged on his doorstep and cries his heart out. He has a serene face, but on that one day, his eyes are a deluge. Nothing can console him and no one tries. Sometimes, the kids from the school across the road gather and watch. They don't laugh, the kids, although some do smile. After all, the tears might not be what they think they might be.
