Cheap music for No Budget Film Makers
I’ve been making music for a little over 20 years now. Bands, solo stuff, noise, the whole indie musician buffet. I’ve also been a lifelong fan of low and no-budget movies. The kind made by people, figuring it out as they go, using what they have, and doing it anyway. That kind of work is why I wanted to make things in the first place.
The idea is simple. If you’re making a low or no-budget movie and need music, you can license my work for one dollar and a credit*. I’m not trying to get rich or make this difficult. I just want the music to be used and become part of something that exists because someone cared enough to finish it.
Rather than setting aside a small pool of tracks, I’m making my entire solo discography available. If something I’ve done with other artists fits, I’m happy to see if they’re on board too. If you need edits or custom work, I’ll need to charge for my time, though my rates remain modest. If it fits, great. If not, no hard feelings. Keep making stuff.
* If a physical release comes of this movie, I would appreciate a copy for my archive.
Anti-Discrimination Disclaimer
This music is available to filmmakers regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or national origin. I will not license my work to projects that exist to degrade, dehumanize, or incite violence against any group of people. If your film celebrates hate, cruelty for its own sake, or promotes discrimination, this isn’t for you. Everyone else—weirdos, outcasts, beginners, and believers—you’re welcome here.
