I've wanted to use this app since my iPhone crashed and during an update I lost all my music in 2016, now I have the money to buy it and the price is reasonable, but see this is not a purchase but an annual subscription. I don't like subscription software. What functionalty will the software have if I don't renew in a year?

Folks: For reasons we all understand, largely involving free distribution of music, and apps, Apple makes it very difficult to maintain two identical iPhones. But this is exactly what I need (I'm a physician with crazy hours who occasionally leaves the phone at home). I called Apple. They suggested using Backup from one phone to the other. I hadn't thought of this, and of course it will work. But I'm looking for a simple, seamless, quicker procedure with no 'tinkering' required. Anybody have any ideas?
