Our Mission

GIC brings together a network of international experts in policymaking, central banking, industry, and academia to explore issues and policies concerning global interdependence that impacts world economies and quality of life. We provide a neutral, nonpartisan forum to expand awareness, advance shared interests, and promote social stewardship. Our College of Central Bankers provides a distinguished forum for former leaders of monetary policymaking organizations to share their insights and thought leadership on critical issues facing central banking and global monetary policy.

What We Do

GIC organizes high-caliber conferences, meetings, and briefings that bring together diverse global leaders and experts. Our events feature experts and leaders from around the world and our programming spans the most critical areas affecting global interdependence.

While maintaining our historical focus on international monetary policy and trade, we've expanded to address pressing challenges like global health, climate change, food and water security, digital currencies, financial technology, and geopolitical developments. Through these gatherings, we create opportunities for meaningful dialogue bridging different perspectives and disciplines.

The majority of our conferences are accessible to the public and the media. Our Private Members' Roundtable Discussions, operating under Chatham House Rule, encourage candid, open exchange. This framework creates a safe space for diverse viewpoints while ensuring that valuable insights can be shared broadly. Our events are thoughtfully structured to maximize interaction between participants, fostering connections that often develop into lasting collaborative relationships.
