Thus, tight shut-off of flow is possible even when using metal seats and disks.<\/p>\n<h2>Disc Valves<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The following photograph shows the body of a Fisher E-plug control valve, with the disk in a partially-open position:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-25021 size-full\" title=\"What is a Disc Valve ?\" src=\"https:\/\/instrumentationtools.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Disk-valves.jpg\" alt=\"What is a Disc Valve ?\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Disc Check Valves are recommended after traps discharging into closed systems to guarantee Non return or no reverse flow. These check valves can be mounted between pipe flanges in any direction.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">DCVs feature a compact and rugged stainless steel design and are suitable for any process liquid &amp; gas, apart from steam.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Disc Check Valves are designed to be sandwiched between flanges i.e. wafer type.
