When the pressure inside the bellows increases, these discs thicken and the length of the bellows increases. This increase in length is the sum of the expansion of all the discs and is a measure of the pressure inside the bellows.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-17511\" src=\"https:\/\/instrumentationtools.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/instrumentationtools.com_bellows.png\" alt=\"Bellows\" width=\"1191\" height=\"591\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The movement of the end of the bellows can be used to drive a pointer over a scale.
