There are two types of dependent current source \u00a0\u2013 \u00a0the \u00a0voltage controlled \u00a0current \u00a0source \u00a0(VCCS) \u00a0and \u00a0the \u00a0current\u00a0controlled current source (CCCS).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11997\" src=\"https:\/\/instrumentationtools.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/instrumentationtools.com_dependent-current-source.png\" alt=\"Dependent Current Source\" width=\"574\" height=\"309\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These \u00a0sources \u00a0are \u00a0mathematical \u00a0models \u00a0that \u00a0are \u00a0useful \u00a0in \u00a0modelling \u00a0real circuits and systems, e.g. they are used in modelling transistors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Example:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Consider the circuit shown below.
