A GM for a dot-com I worked with went and became a CEO of a gaming company for a bit. He brought me in for some performance work, and it was neat because it was to make console games work on smartphones. The company went belly up, but it was sure interesting to see how the beginning happened.

At the time, I said no way to 3G and HSPA networks, and said with 4G you have a chance, but by that time it was too late. It was very cool as I could see console games in racks and made sure things were optimal. At the time, it was a side job.

Now with 5G, that can be a reality. At my horse farm in Texas, my ping time to servers for google's speed based tests is around 1ms ... youtube TV has 6ms, and given the eye doesn't detect less <500ms very well ... yeah the future is here now.

It is very cool to see some of your other sides, and while I don't game I can appreciate the gamers based on my skills in performance availability and capacity (PAC). My games are making shit work fast for people in mobile arenas.

Can't wait to see your reviews on your monitors!

First of all, thanks for your comment.

Here in Australia, our internet is variable in quality - where I live, it's exceptional, so that's really all that matters. Ha!

I've enjoyed tweeting a bit about some other things that I do - my personal Twitter and social media accounts in general, are quite stuffy because of my career.

This account has led me to being able to write a bit more freely, not just about my sex life which has been amazing, but also, increasingly about other stuff - like tech.

I'd never thought of doing reviews of my monitors - I should, thanks for the suggestion.

One other comment ... I have supported the wireless carrier in Australia in the early mobile internet days. I was bummed because I wasn't able to head on over, because the guys wanted to meet up in San Francisco!

You should keep on doing it. You have an excellent depth of detail, probably due to your what I expect "excellent" lawyer skills.

I can "sense" your good roundness (not that what I think matters so :) ). I gained this skill from being in many hotel bars and airline lounges over the past few decades, where I chose to talk and converse with people versus surfing a phone.

If you like info series and you get bored while "he" is busy, there is a fun history of video game info series on Netflix that you might enjoy. It talks about the very early days and the genesis of it all. They even talk about a lawyer that helped "fight" for a small video game maker and they made a video game of him.

Watch for tech guys though, because for some of them this is the entire life and being. Given society and it's view on masculinity, a lot have regressed deeply into it so they highly personalize what shouldn't be personalized, and they will lash out with the maturity of 1 year minus your oldest.

Or to use a proper Australian phrase ... they are cunts ...

Be well and keep on writing you rock!
