A web platform featuring animations, mini-games, and an interactive map of Russia’s craft centers.

The project aimed to introduce children to Russia’s cultural heritage through engaging game mechanics, fostering creativity and sparking interest in traditional arts.

The game can be used in schools, extracurricular clubs, and for family learning.

Task

Increase interest in traditional crafts among children and adults through gamification.

Solution

A multitouch panel with custom software developed using Figma and Unity, featuring two interactive modules:

  • “Map of Traditional Crafts of Russia”
  • Game: “Master of Decorative and Applied Arts”

Map of Traditional Crafts of Russia

An interactive map that displays educational materials when a user clicks on a region of interest.

Game: “Master of Decorative and Applied Arts”

Story: The player enters a village courtyard, where they can choose one of the following craftsmen:

  • Potter
  • Woodworker
  • Ural-Siberian Painting Master
  • Weaver
  • Embroiderer

Choosing a craftsman launches an animated presentation of the profession and a task related to that craft.

Design
  • Large, interactive buttons
  • Simple navigation logic
  • Readable fonts and oversized elements
  • Design tailored for children aged 5 and up
  • Step-by-step hints included in tasks
  • Bright colors and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere
