Okay, people need to let go of the Xabi issues. Which aren't really issues at all.

So what if Rafa left him out of the game on Saturday? So what if he went 'public' and said that Xabi needs to step up his game? Ged Houllier did the same with Stevie G and that was probably the smartest thing the Frenchman ever did.
Let's face it, comments like "Rafa should tell Xabi personally about this instead of saying it on the official site" are completely pointless. Who honestly thinks that he hasn't actually done that?! Of all people on that team, I think Xabi is one of those who knows better than anyone when he's not playing well enough. He's one of the most humble players when it comes to his own abilities and prestations, and is his own worst critic so I doubt he was very surprised when he was left out on Saturday. He's one of the toughest, most independent guys I've ever met, who is on rather excellent terms with the gaffer so this isn't very likely to bother him that much.

About it being a forewarning of a possible transfer in the summer I can only say that it's one of the more stupid things I've heard. He's been out with injury for 5 months and he hardly played brilliantly before that, yet he signed a new long term contract, so what makes everyone think that Rafa's all of a sudden changed his mind about him!?
