So I'm making my new high-energy running playlist and I'm in need of new songs to try running to (because I'm totally back on the wagon of losing weight here, and have been for a few months, whoot). So I try googling "running songs" and I get all KINDS of songs I would NEVER run to, including:

In their defense, they have like two on this list that I'll run to. Maybe four. If I'm in the mood. But really, anyone got any good songs to run to? I don't care what genre as long as it's high-energy. I'm looking for maybe 10 more so I can shuffle them so they play a different lineup for each This is what I have so far:

So I got this PM on ffnet about this person on harrypotterfanfiction.com posting Broken as their own work, but the link was all fucked up and I freaked out. So, when I calmed down, I IM'd pokeystar and we both started investigating. AND OMG! I FOUND IT!

I'm not sure how to feel. Like, this has never happened to me.

I feel like I'm all over the place these days. Since RL is in my face constantly, I figure I need to write a "fandom shit I need to do this week" list:

1. Finish editing chapter 3 of OP.
Currently on page 9 of 17.

2. Finalize my plot for ginnybigbang.
hmmmmmmmmmm.....

3. At least edit one chapter of Broken.
..............yeahhhhhh

4. Decide on if I want to write for TDM's birthday bash, has to be 5K min.
Pairing: Rose/Scorpius.
Genre: Humor/Drama/Romance.
Quote to be included: "How much do you suppose death-by-glaring would hurt? On a scale of one to ten?"
Scenario: A character is forced to accept a job.
Object to be included: A Celestina Warbeck poster

So, la_dissonance is awesome. First, she beta'd my drabble. Then, at the risk of losing some of her street-cred, she stepped out of Slash/Femslash-Land to draw me a "drawbble" for the very last scene of Broken. *squishes* So, anyway, everyone check it out and leave her some love!

I know I said I was gonna do it, but I'd just about convinced myself not to, but...

Some things that WILL happen:

1. This will likely be my first non-Dramione story...hmm...I may sneak them in somewhere, dammit.

2. I will do this without putting a number in the title, too. :P

3. I will make this an interesting story and breathe life into Ginny's character. The current general premise is: "When Harry comes out the closet in an unintentionally public manner, Ginny goes on a quest to figure out what she did wrong. Blaise happens to always be around for the lulz."

4. I will write this more than 6 weeks before the due date. *glares at HBB story*

5. Oh, and there will be no major angst. Kthx.

I tried to start editing last night, but ummm my brain was like "fuck this shit" and I watched Seven Pounds...or rather it watched me. But anyway, my goal today is to get it edited and sent off to my beta. *prays I caught her before she went outta town* If not, I'll likely find someone else to beta it and then put it up. Whoot!

It's around 8500 words at the moment, but I have quite a bit to add, to be honest. It'll probably be around 10K...max. I'm surprised, in all honesty. I thought it would be longer. Let's see...there are four parts. The chapter set-up is slightly different than usual, thanks to freaking Seven Days in April. Hmm...oh yeah! There IS an epilogue, but both somandalicious and cardigankate who have already read it...say a firm NO to the epilogue. I think I just may agree with them.

Do I feel bittersweet about ending this? Fuck no. I'm ready to move ON. While writing Broken, I've written a bunch of drabbles, two oneshots, and two short stories...and some other stuff. It'll be nice to focus on something else.

But anyway. I figured, ya know, long wait...yadda yadda...preview??

Still, it was all too much for one person to have to deal with. So, she continued walking, simply following the path, thinking and attempting to shake off her worries.

When Hermione reached the outermost edges of the gardens, she looked up at the nighttime sky; a very starry night with a full moon. Hermione remembered several points in the last six years when she would look to the skies with a heavy heart. She recalled feeling so small while her problems felt as enormous and vast and complex as the universe.

Tonight, Hermione looked to the sky for a completely different reason.

When she’d returned to London, she remembered feeling utterly alone and riddled with guilt. When she finally told the truth to Harry and Ron, Hermione felt relief. After convincing Narcissa to put her husband first, she felt wiser. Later, while watching a mourning Draco fitfully sleep, she felt vital—important. After talking to Harry, she felt strangely glad. When Hermione finally confronted Ginny, she left with a feeling of accomplishment. After she and Draco left the cemetery that afternoon, she felt like her strength had been renewed, restored. And tonight, as she watched the stars settle and looked at the handle of Ursa Minor, Hermione remembered where she’d come from, and was glad to have survived.

After everything she’d been through, these last problems in front of her didn’t seem so big anymore.

And Hermione felt…peace.

I just submitted my fic for hermionebigbang!!! Seven Days in April is what it's called and meep! It ended up being 35,444 after the round of editing. Shorter than what most people expected from me, but longer than what I expected from myself (I was aiming for 25K) But seriously. Holy. Shit. I am so excited that...that I just can't hide it...*hums song* I made this soundtrack for the fic, too, and I'm just SOOOOO excited! OMG! *bounces*

Now...I just need to plow through this chapter of Broken...

Sasha is...extremely tired this morning...and is currently passed out in her bed. She kept me up all night, but it's cool...*wolfs down coffee* I just want her better. I don't care how many nights of sleep I have to sacrifice. I hate seeing her in any kinda pain. Wow. I sound like a mom there. LMAO! And here I was thinking I didn't have a maternal bone in my body...

Anyway, now on to some pimpinz:

tamatersweet's wordie finally gave me the push I need to make my own for my hermionebigbang fic, which is being edited. whoot! It's so prettiful. It's a representation of my ENTIRE HBB fic. Cool!

It's going to be hot in the south today...somewhere in the high 90's.

Between reading so I can fairly vote for The New Library awards and overall life, I haven't had much time for anything else. However, after two weeks of writing (off and on, thanks to some extreme laziness on my part), I have FINALLY finished the next chapter of Broken. Yay!

Words can't express just how excited I am. It didn't end exactly how I had planned, but it was getting to be too long so I shaved off the rest of my plans for the chapter. Besides, it gave me a great starting place for the following chapter, which will probably be a bit of a doosy. All I have to do next is shave down the unnecessary stuff, add some important emotions, and ship it off to my wonderful beta. Whew!

So, my name is Alex, and this is my LiveJournal page.

The purpose of this page is to inform friends of posting days in advance, what's going on during the writing process, etc. I probably won't post actual my actual work on LJ, simply because I'm completely brand new at this - and patience will need to be a virtue. All of my stories are on the left, broken down into the categories, and I've provided links. Nice, huh?

I just post at FFnet right now, but soon I'll be posting on Granger Enchanted and Coloured Grey.
