PROBAT Highlights Snack Processing Solutions

At this year’s interpack, the world’s leading trade fair for the global packaging industry, PROBAT will be showcasing its concentrated process engineering expertise for the coffee, cocoa, chocolate, and snack industries. From May  7 to 13 in Düsseldorf, the group of companies will present its comprehensive portfolio of turnkey solutions, tailored to meet a wide range of cross-segment application requirements along the food value chain. Marking an important milestone, PROBAT will appear for the first time under a unified brand umbrella.

Building on more than 155 years of expertise, PROBAT delivers innovative food refining solutions tailored to the evolving demands of global markets. This legacy of engineering excellence is reflected in PROBAT’s trade fair presence at interpack, with a strong focus on integrated processing concepts for the coffee, cocoa, chocolate, and snack sectors. These concepts combine energy‑efficient, hygienic, and compact design with data‑driven optimisation to increase yields, boost throughput, and minimise downtime, paving the way for integrated production systems. In doing so, PROBAT reinforces its position as the full‑solution supplier to the food industry, delivering forward‑looking processing solutions grounded in technological excellence, deep process expertise, and reliable global implementation, all under one brand.

PROBAT CEO Wim Abbing emphasises the significance of the upcoming industry event: “We understand our customers’ challenges and ambitions across all food segments and support them with tailored end‑to‑end solutions, global service hubs and a single point of contact, and we are proud to appear at interpack for the first time as one unified PROBAT brand.”

Engineering innovation that connects industries

PROBAT will unveil several new product developments at the Düsseldorf exhibition, including the next generation of its fine refiner systems. The newly engineered FRF 1500 II Fine Refiner builds on proven Heidenauer five‑roll refining technology, combining traditional chocolate refining principles with enhanced intelligence and optimised processes. Fully automated and equipped with an integrated camera system, the Heidenauer FRF 1500 II further advances autonomous production while delivering consistently high refining performance.

Complementing its refining innovations, PROBAT will also present the redesigned Duyvis HPB Hydraulic Press Butter for cocoa and nut processing, which combines proven performance with a smaller footprint, improved accessibility, faster pressing cycles and enhanced operational safety.

Adding to the lineup, the new Horn CRB Continuous Roaster Belt addresses drying and roasting applications in nut and seed processing. Designed for exceptional performance and extended shelf life, it features optimised airflow geometry for uniform hot‑air distribution and controlled humidity management to enhance the Maillard reaction while preventing excessive drying.
