If you feel that your computer gets slower every day, you are probably facing problems with your Registry, the database where Windows stores settings and options. The problem arises when this database is filled with junk information, making the process of accessing to particular information slower.
ImproveSpeedPC offers to boost your system’s performance by finding and fixing this type of errors and some others. In fact, the basic operation of this program is very simple. As a user, you do not need to know anything about the origin of your computer’s low speed. In this respect, you will only ask the program to search for errors, display the results list and fix them.
The adoption of a wizard-like interface makes it very easy to use. A series of arrows will take you to the next step until the whole process is done. The interface is organized into tabs, Scan and Results being the most important. The tab labeled “Settings” will include some useful features like restoring the Registry and scheduling actions. The tab named Tools will let you access three utilities. First, there is Clean History to erase the history records of Internet Explorer, Firefox and Windows, an action that will definitely save storage space and protect your privacy. Second, you will be able to customize your startup list and consequently reduce system startup time. Finally, you can receive information as to file extensions, which will let you know what applications can be used to open a given file.
The main limitation of this application has to do with the trial version’s incapability to fix errors. In my opinion, this restriction is too strict for a program that may probably go unnoticed among so many others. In fact, there are some free excellent system optimizers out there. In addition, how am I supposed to pay for an application whose effectiveness I am not certain of?
