Helium Streamer 3.3.4 is now released.
It is a small release with some graphical user interface corrections that was found in the previous release.

Bugfix: Helium Streamer 3.3.2 released
A bug was found in Helium Streamer 3.3.1 which prevented the iOS and Android apps to connect to the application.
Version 3.3.2 fixes this issue. We recommend all users to update to this release.
Helium Streamer 3.3.1 now available
Helium Streamer 3.3.1 is now available.
This is a minor update which includes corrections for issues found since last release as well as one new feature.
Sorting of releases
It is now possible to sort releases. You are no longer stuck with the default sort order of album name ascending.
You reach this new feature by clicking on the new “more…” link at the top of the releases view.
This will reveal the new “sort by” filter:
There are four fields that releases can be sorted by:
- Album
- Artist
- Year
- Added date
There is also the possibility to change the sort order (ascending or descending) by clicking the sort order button 
.
The sort field and sort order you set will be remembered until you change it.

Helium 13.3 beta now available
A new beta version of Helium 13 is now avalable for testing.
This version focuses on changes under the hood, mainly related to MySql.
Major changes in this release
- New MySql drivers and changes/improvements to queries. This affects the most of the application.
- Threading fixes.
- Setting for using year fallback, if release year is not specifically contained in tags (e.g. ID3v1 tags which only supports recording year), a fallback to recording year will be used when this setting is active.
- Capitalization fixes in the Tag editor.
- Improvements to FLAC reading and writing
Apart from the above improvements, this version comes with minor bug fixes and improvements.
Working with the beta version
Please note all functions in this beta version is not fully completed. Functions might not have passed all QA testing and can miss translation texts.
This beta version cannot be installed parallell to the official Helium 13 version.
We recommend all uses which are using MySql/MariaDb to test this version.

Please note that scripts written in prior versions will no longer be directly compatible without the need of doing a small change; The namespace declaration must be removed.
We recommend all users to update to this version as soon as possible.
New beta of Helium 13.2 available
A new beta version of Helium 13.2 is now available for pre-testing.
This version is not ready for official release yet, but you can start to test the new features today if you like. Just install it on top of your current Helium 13 release and start to work with it. The version does not contain any database changes so it will be fully compatible with the current official release.
Major changes
- Smart play function for the Tag editors: Easily skip between intro, break and outtro positions (configurable) with just one click.
- Volume change button added to the Tag editors
- Song position label added to the Tag editors
- Support for multiple track-download plugin-ins in the Tag editor
- New plug-in, MusicBrainz. Supports album pictures and tracks
- Tag editor stores and updates MusicBrainz album and track IDs on tags and in the database (when downloaded or previously existing)
- Updates and improvements for MySql backup tool
- Various updates and minor improvements for the Action manager tool
- Support for Tag-to-filename codes in the Action manager tool
- Improvements to the Update library process, sync dates are handled better thus reducing unnecessary synchronization jobs
- Updates of multiple components
- Improved compatibility for album artist TXXX tag-fields (read/write)
- Possibility to access Capitalizer and Word replacer settings from the Tag editors
- The script engine uses a new compiler which supports c# v6 and v7.
NOTE: Previously existing scripts will no longer be compatible without a small change, the namespace declaration must be removed from the script. - Full timestamps included on backup filenames
- Bugfix: Subtracks are ont properly added to the database after editing
- Bugfix: The Duplicate finder could not always be properly started
- Bugfix: Multiple genres could sometimes create an extra empty genre
- Bugfix: Writing of FLAC tags with multiple application tag-blocks did not worked properly
- Bugfix: Simple search does not show artists with pictures as matches

Helium 13.2 beta now available
A new beta version of Helium 13.2 is now available for pre-testing.
This version is not ready for official release yet, but you can start to test the new features today if you like. Just install it on top of your current Helium 13 release and start to work with it. The version does not contain any database changes so it will be fully compatible with the current official release.
Major changes
- New tool, Action manager – The scripting support introduced in Helium 12 is very powerful when it comes to created automated tasks with custom logic. It is a bit complex though, since it requires that the end-user has knowledge of basic programming within the .NET language. The Action manager is similar to the tool which existed in older Helium versions which allows you to automate tasks without the needing of scripting knowledge. Please note that this tool is not fully completed, it is missing some translations and QA testing.
- MySql 8 support. Several SQL statements has been updated to support MySql 8. This version of Helium also comes with updated MySql drivers.
- Visual icons has been added for several columns. You can control if you would like to display icons only for this columns or icons together with text.
- Quality column introduced.
- The window (task-bar) title can scroll to show the full information about the song currently being played.
- Possibility to multi-select suggested tracks and perform actions against them.
- A specific artists age is calculated and shown in artist details. (requires that at least born date is filled)
- Possibility con control how downloaded track-information should be merged/overwritten more in detail.
- Extended error logging when adding tracks to the Library.
- Possibility to set favourite from scripts.
- Possibility to work with multiple artists from scripts.
- Track download plugins can use multiple artists.
Apart from the above improvements, this version also contains bug corrections and minor improvements.
