Opportunities
“Notify Health is a start-up nonprofit with a big mission: to ensure all Nigerian children receive life-saving immunizations. We were incubated by Ambitious Impact 18 months ago and are supported by GiveWell, a leading charity evaluator. Up to half of missed vaccinations happen simply because caregivers forget or don’t realize they need to return. We’re here to change that! We use simple SMS and automated voice calls to help caregivers remember and track vital vaccination appointments.” They’re seeking a monitoring, evaluations, and learning manager based in Nigeria.
“Suvita is an impact-driven, evidence-based nonprofit focused on increasing uptake of routine childhood vaccinations in India. Over 4 million children born every year still miss their basic vaccinations in India, leading to far too many vaccine-preventable deaths. We run two rigorously tested, complementary programs: 1)Immunisation ambassadors: We identify and train local opinion leaders to volunteer as vaccination advocates to share reminders with families in their communities. 2) SMS reminders: We send personalised SMS messages to caregivers to prompt timely attendance at government clinics.” They are looking for a tech lead based in India to join their team
“CivAI is a non-profit that educates the public about AI’s capabilities and dangers using live software demonstrations. Instead of research papers and abstract discussion, we produce interactive software experiences that provide a deep, intuitive sense of what AI can do and where it’s going. We present these demos to targeted audiences and make scalable versions available to the public. CivAI is aiming for a world where people deeply grasp AI’s abilities, and make better decisions because of it. This is a world that holds AI developers responsible for the externalities they are producing, while also finding use cases that transform lives for the better. CivAI’s work brings a new kind of evidence to the discourse—simple, intuitive, and incontrovertible because users can interact with it firsthand.” They have a number of open roles in comms, growth, and strategy.
The Governance.ai Fellowship is open, and applications close on Jan 4th. “Seasonal Fellowships are three-month opportunities designed to launch or accelerate impactful careers in AI governance and policy. Participants in the ‘Applied Track’ execute projects of their choice in areas other than traditional research. They also participate in an expert Q&A and seminar series aimed at developing a broad understanding of the field, and spend time forging connections with researchers and practitioners.”
“The Next in Nuclear Initiative (NINI) is now accepting applications for its Spring Internship Program. The internship runs from January 19, 2026, through May 29, 2026. Interns will work part time, approximately 5 to 8 hours per week, and the position is fully remote. Work can be completed asynchronously aside from the required weekly meeting. Up to two interns will be selected for the 2026 Spring Semester. This role offers hands-on experience in advancing nuclear leadership, communications, and community engagement. Interns will work directly with the founder to research, draft, and curate content for the NINI community. Throughout the internship, participants will receive mentorship from the founder to guide their professional growth and development.”
