Seriously, my family are like super late with most things.

Oh well, I didn't finish all the dailies during may, but I did write 39k. I will also complete the two remaining dailies, even if they are late.

As soon as I've completed the challenge (more or less), I'll have time to do other things, my big bang for instant, and maybe write things for other, smaller, challenges, and maybe in different fandoms :D

As usual, I'm posting everything to my Ao3.

And also, I'll be hosting two fests this year, intoxication and incest, which I'm sure will be lots of fun.

Because it's Charlie's birthday, and because I was tired of writing (please let it be a two day bug only, I need to finish stuff) I wanted to do a quick manipulation of our dragon handler.

I imagine Charlie as a fiery character, and I decided that he needed a lot of fire, which makes me wonder if I could simply draw fire instead... or maybe not. There is no real story behind this manipulation, except for the 'Charlie is cursed and slowly turning into a dragon' plot, yeah, I like that plot.

Happy birthday Charlie <3

Now I should get back to writing, can't believe how fast time has gone by.

Edit: forgot to add that the model is Harm Verwegen, amazing eyecandy ;)

He was my favourite as well, until I watched and read Persuasion and was introduced to Captain Frederick Wentworth.

Pride and Prejudice is a great love story, but if I should rate it amongst my favourite books, it would come as fourth. It’s shocking, but there are some stories I’ve fallen deeper in love with, some characters I love far more than those in Pride and Prejudice. I love the book, as well as the two movies I've seen from 1995 and 2007 (I have yet seen the old shows).

We all love the story of the rich man falling in love with the common lady, only to have his heart ripped out when she rejected his offer of marriage, before the happily ever after ending arrives that shocked their families because nobody expected them to like each other. Yes, it’s a lovely story, but I have another story I prefer. Maybe I love this story because it's more angsty, or feels more real than P&P does, I'm not sure, but it's my favourite of Jane Austen's stories.

Frederick Wrntworth:

Persuasion, the story of a young couple falling in love, only for their relationship to end when she’s persuaded to break their engagement because of something as petty as fortune and rank. Years pass and he makes a fortune on the sea and by random coincidences, will return to the house that once belonged to the girl that broke his heart.

When he sees Anne again he realises he loves her as much as before, but believes his feelings are not returned. He tries his hardest to forget her by turning his attention to the other people, especially two young ladies who both have a crush on the handsome Captain. While trying to get over Anne he does and say things which he’s not aware of, fooling everyone into thinking he’s interested in one of the young ladies, and eventually intends to marry her.

Frederick understands the mess he’s made, and after unfortunate events involving the young lady which he has no interest at all in, he leaves in hope that things will untangle themselves because he has no interest in the girl at all.

While gone he hears that the young lady is to marry one of his friends and he’s free from any entanglements. Free again, Frederick seeks out Anne, only to get his heart broken again when he hear rumours of her engagement to another man.

Because he can’t leave at once he accidentally overhears a conversation between Anne and one of his friends, and based on her answer he realises she still loves him. He then proceeds to write her a romantic letter, renewing his proposal and leaves it for Anne to read once he’s gone.

She reads his letter not long after he left, quickly running after him.Not long after he left she read the letter, and then go after him. After they talked about the past, present and future, determined to stay together no matter what.

Planning to finish one thing that is due this week tomorrow, as well as trying something new, I'm making cheese :D and it will be with my son so I can finally say I've spent some time with him.

ART:::
Rupert Grint's birthday was last week, and when I saw that I wanted to photo manipulate something Weasley, not only because of Rupert/Ron, but because I really needed to do something just for myself.
There are many reasons why I love being home again, in my own home. I'm one of those who (even if I dislike my current apartment) loves to stay at home, and dislikes to waste more time outside than needed (parties, meeting friends to go shopping etc is not my thing)

Here are a few of the reasons I love being home again:

1) No more family I have to see and talk to whenever I'm in a less that great mood.

2) I know where things should go, how to fill the dishwasher, and I don't worry about making a mess.

3) After spending 2 weeks with a mini laptop, my screen looks like it's 1000" big (my screen fits 4 of the mini screens, I do now love my screen)

4) I have all my stuff!!! My pencils, my craft thingies, my computer with all my programs, my clothes and shoes.

5) My reference/research folders, or just everything else I saved in my computer.

Needless to say, I'm happy to finally be home, now if I can wrap up my prison exchange fic, and add more words to my rarepairs exchange fic, then this weekend will be great!

I also need to remember that I must scan some art.

My first week of my 2 weeks holiday is almost over, and let me tell you, after working 9-14 hours each day for the last 1,5 months, not counting the 2 hours I spend every day back and forth between work and home, it's wonderful to do nothing at all.

First week was spent at my in-laws, who are wonderful and takes care of my kid while I relax. The next week will be at my own family, who will also take care of my kid while I relax. I know I'm using them, but why would I visit family if it meant just as much work during my vacation? I've had it with stress during vacation, Christmas the last few years has been only that, stress and work.

Free time means writing, besides sucking up as much energy as possible for when I return to work (the thought of how much far behind we might be then almost scares me).

I have a few things on my to-do list, but the main thing I'm concentrating about is hp_prisonerfest. Still not completed my story, but with my work schedule I've had almost no time to write. The story is now 7/10 chapters complete, and is about 19 400 words so far. My plans is to finish the story this weekend. I tried to keep the plot short, but I love it so much that I couldn't help the size.

Besides stressing over that fic, I've taken short breaks writing other things, which is just what I need sometimes. I've also tried to write things in other fandoms, which is a lot of fun. Also, as soon as I finish things with deadlines, I'm going to go through my list of stories that are patiently waiting for a second chapter, and try to finish them before they end up as one of those WIP's that are 10 years old but never finished.

One last thing, I suck at replying to comments, especially when they are fest comments, especially when I don't pay attention to the reveal and then forget, sorry about that, I read every comment and love them, it's the replying part that I suck at.

What do I do when life feels like a reality drama show? I pull into fandom and ignore people.

So, here is a post about my latest interests, etc.

-Teen Wolf::: It's a good show, and I do have my favourite pairings. The plot in the previous seasons was much better, but I'm still watching.
Pairings I like: Lydia/Peter, Stiels/Danny, Peter/Stiles. And some I think sounds interesting: Derek/Jennifer Blake, Peter/Mr Stilinski, Peter/Chris Argent, The twin alphas/Isaac or Danny or Lydia, Derek/Lydia, Jackson/Stiles, and a few others.

-Game of Thrones::: All the drama, almost too much, and the show is sort of boring. If it wasne't because of the politics, and few pairings I do like, I'd probably watch it only after the whole show ends, just because it's sort of boring. I'm not surprised by anything that happens anymore in that show, and I'm almost disapointed when certain people don't die or something bad happens with them.
Pairings I like: Sansa/Tyrion, Sansa/Sandor, Jamie/Brienne and a few others

-Hemlock Grove::: God the writing is bad. I guess the author wants to be sure that they don't leave any details out, but he should have taken some script classes because the story doesn't make sense at times. It's still an interesting story, and it has some cool stuff, like the transformation (one of the best I've seen)
Pairings I like: Peter/Roman, Christina Wendall/The Sworn twins. And since I'm only on episode 4 I'm sure more is to come

Hemlock grove reminds me about another show, Point Pleasant. That show was kind of strange in the beginning, but it was really fun towards the end, I’m sort of sad that it ended because it could have become a great horror show.

Talking about horror shows, American Horror Story. The first season was a lot of fun, interesting, and the plot even surprised me a few times. Second season was so twisted, still loved it (note to self, I must watch the final episodes). Can't say much else about it, need to watch it.

I’ve got many more shows, but I'll save those for later.

-

Also, hubby made me promise that July is a sign-up free month, except for prompt_in_a_box, and the signups for darkwitches opens July 1st.
Eurovision time!!!

I wasn’t sure if I should post this because it’s a rant, and one I know people won’t bother to read; really, I'm not joking. This is a long post about the finalist entries in Eurovision 2013, and the final round is happening tomorrow.

Please, don't feel obliged to read this.

I’m guessing that people who lives outside Europe, and even some Europeans, have no ideas what this is. I’ll try to give you a short explanation.

Eurovision is a musical competition between countries, where each country has their own competition (I assume) where the winner goes on to Eurovision to represent their country. The competition is held in the country that won the year before, so this year it will be held in Sweden. There are two semi final rounds where the finalists are decided, and it looks like there is 26 countries in the last round. There are also a few countries to automatically goes to the finals, something I find unfair as well as idiotic since sometimes they have songs that just sucks (I know this is necessary because they are a big financial contributors). Those countries are United Kingdom, Germany, France and Spain.

Ok, I think that was enough basics.

I used to love this competition, until I noticed how ‘corrupt’ it was. Countries voting for their neighbours, and in some cases not voting for them (because of struggles between the countries). Not only that, but after a bunch of just crappy entries, by my own country as well, I just didn’t think it was that amazing any longer. I ignored it last year, but this year I’ve decided to watch it.

The finals are tomorrow, and I’ve decided to do something special this year, I’m actually giving a fuck and giving you my thoughts on the finalist songs. If you don’t care, then don’t read the rest, it’s just a random music rant.

Here is the list of all participants; it includes the first and second semi-final rounds as well as the final.

1-France: Amandine Bourgeois - L'Enfer Et Moi (Hell and me) – Over the years France has never amazed me, but this song was amazing. I love the music, her voice, and even the lyrics (the translated lyrics that is since I don’t understand French).

2-Lithuania: Andrius Pojavis – Something – For some reason the intro made me think of The Killers-Human. The lyrics are sweet, and he’s cute, but the whole song is a mess. His voice makes me think of a bad audition, and the music doesn’t do anything to help him.

3-Moldova: Aliona Moon - O Mie – Her voice is pretty, the song cute and the lyrics are really nice, but the chorus, I just love that part. Not only is it a pretty song, but I actually understand it!!! I still think it’s funny that in Moldova they often use the Rumanian language, so it’s not a wonder I understand the song.

4-Finland: Krista Siegfrids - Marry Me – This time I had a Kesha feeling, and while I like one or two of her songs, Krista is just not amazing, and the song, nope. The music video also reminds me about Katy Perry, which is way better than Krista. Her song is sort of catchy, but easily forgot.

5-Spain: ESDM - Contigo Hasta El Final (With You Until The End) - Sweet voice, song and girl, but I will sadly forget it as soon as the next song comes on.

6-Belgium: Roberto Bellarosa - Love Kills - Ok, I wanted to like this, and I did in the beginning, but then it sounded like he repeated everything he said through the whole song.

7-Estonia: Birgit Õigemeel - Et Uus Saaks Alguse (New Beginning) - Way better than Spain, but it’s still a forgetful song. I don’t know what it is, maybe the soft style, or the way it sounds like so many other songs I’ve heard?

8-Belarus: Alyona Lanskaya - Solayoh - Catchy, really nice rhythm. I can imagine this playing in the background while I clean. There was one thing that shocked me; Alexander Rybak was in the music video! This might not mean anything for most people, but he won Eurovision for Norway in 2009 with the highest score received in history of Eurovision. This was the song Fairytale.

9-Malta: Gianluca Bezzina - Tomorrow - I was hoping there was some corky entries this year as well, and this looks to be it! It’s adorable, and they are so happy, and they have a ukulele!

10-Russia: Dina Garipova - What If - There were a few moments where I enjoyed the song, but it does sound like so many other songs. I do love the lyrics.

11-Germany: Cascada – Glorious - I’m so sorry Germany, but I hate your entry. There are many things I dislike about that entry. Cascada is a popular group, and has been so for almost ten years. Not only is she a known artist, something I hate to see in Eurovision, but I also dislike to listen to club music in this contest, I can’t even tell you how annoyed I am the times that kind of music wins! It’s not that I dislike club music, I’m just sick of listening to it in Eurovision.

12-Armenia: Dorians - Lonely Planet - I love the meaning behind the song, and the melody is sort of nice; sadly that’s about it.

13-Netherlands: Anouk - Birds - Sweet song, I can imagine playing it in the background while I doodle or write. It also reminds me about the song ‘I’m happy when it rains’, well, sort of.

14-Romania: Cesar - It's My Life - Ok, his voice is amazing, both the deep and high notes are really nice. The song, I have a hate/love relationship with it. I love the really strange opera style, and I hate the music. I must tell you, I’m a sucker for catchy and strange songs.

15-United Kingdom: Bonnie Tyler - Believe In Me- Bonnie, I love you, and I understand you don’t want to be forgotten. You have a lovely voice, and I respect you, but why did you have to join Eurovision? Ignoring the fact that I think UK fucked up, I do like the song, maybe because I’ve always loved her voice.

16-Sweden: Robin Stjernberg – You- This feels like such a Eurovision song. I can imagine a lovely future for Robin, but this song is just not working for me.

17-Hungary: ByeAlex - Kedvesem - I really like his voice, and the language is really sweet, and the song is corky! And that is something I like.

18-Denmark: Emmelie De Forest - Only Teardrops - I was torn between love/hate of this song. Everything combined is really nice, and catchy.

19-Iceland: Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson - Ég á Líf (I am alive) - I was shocked when I heard the music, I did not expect that kind of style, but I love it. It’s sweet, and memorable.

20-Azerbaijan: Farid Mammadov - Hold Me - Sweet song that had a nice melody, and I love his voice, it’s so pretty.

21-Greece: Koza Mostra & Agathon Iakovidis - Alcohol Is Free - First I was ‘there is no passion there’, but then, when the music really began and the camera zoomed out, my leg couldn’t stay still. It’s a catchy song, and corky (I’m sure you’re sick of hearing me say that).

22-Ukraine: Zlata Ognevich - Gravity- This reminds me about the song Sweden won with last year, and well, I didn’t like that, so it doesn’t surprise me I dislike this as well. And if it wasn’t for Eurovision, I’d still find this song annoying.

23-Italy: Marco Mengoni - L'Essenziale (The essential) He looks like a fun guy, but the song was forgettable.

24-Norway: Margaret Berger - I Feed You My Love Everyone wants to feel proud of their entry, well, I don’t. The annoying, well, I don’t know what the sound is called, is almost giving me a headache. There is one thing I like, the music during the chorus. Margaret is ok, nice voice, but doesn’t sound that special.

25-Georgia: Nodi Tatishvili & Sophie Gelovani - Waterfall - Sweet, but nothing special.

26-Ireland: Ryan Dolan - Only Love Survives- Another clubber, I’m guessing. Sounds like Sweden from last year, Cascada and so many others. Yes, I’m judging a song based on the style, but I’m tired of that kind of music, especially in Eurovision.

So, a short list of those I like more than others, and wouldn’t mind if they won:
1-France: Amandine Bourgeois - L'Enfer Et Moi (Hell and me)
3-Moldova: Aliona Moon - O Mie
9-Malta: Gianluca Bezzina - Tomorrow
17-Hungary: ByeAlex - Kedvesem
18-Denmark: Emmelie De Forest - Only Teardrops
19-Iceland: Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson - Ég á Líf (I am alive)
21-Greece: Koza Mostra & Agathon Iakovidis - Alcohol Is Free

What have I learned by watching the entries this year
-I still love corky songs
-There will always be a few songs I like
-Club music will never disappear from this competition, sadly
-Moldova sings in Romanian, Romania sings in English, strange to understand a country I know almost nothing about.
-All the Nordic countries made it to the finals, that’s nice

MIA

I’ve been MIA for a long time, or so it feels. But I think I needed the quiet time because I was exhausted and drained. It might be slightly my fault for signing up on so many fests, and then postponing it until the very end (mostly because I’m tired and lose interest/inspiration)

Luckily, I’m fighting depression by completing things on my to do list. During April I managed to complete my beholder, Beltane and horror entries, I only have two more things that I requested extensions, better finish them soon.

So here are the rest of my plans.

May:
- nextgenbigbang art, the first two artists I claimed never responded (really, two people!), but I was assigned to someone else.
- hprarefest, I love my plot, but I need to cut it, unless I can write fast and ask for an extension.
- worshipdarklord, I sort of forgot about it, by my original plan was for a shorter fic, and I'm sure I'll make it.

Rest of the months:
-Art for werewolfbigbang, heroinebigbang, villainbigbang, eagle_bigbang, paperlegends
-Words for luciusbigbang, blaisebigbang I don't care about tropes, they are such a cliché that I struggle to write them; anyone who knows me, knows I like to expand my wings and try new things.

So, I'm trying something new right now. I'll post my bingo card here, and all my friends, or those who reads this message, can prompt me a prompt and a pairing. I'm also doing this because he card has a deadline, April 30th, and I'm going for a blackout.

Fandoms I'm willing to write in:Harry Potter, Teen Wolf, Merlin, Avatar-the last airbender, The Eagle, Lost Girl

Only one of those squares is filled, 'Huddle for warmth' and "au:Hooker/Porn Stripper" (I must remember to upload the new card soon)

So, prompt me something, and I'll see what I can do, just remember to tell me which square your prompt is for.

Links to deffinitions of tropes
+additional definitions

Maybe I should try for small bingo's, but I'm going for full blackout (as always)

I can't wait to actually fill this out, but I better concentrate on my trope first, since that one's due soon.
