So at the beginning of Season 7 I watched the first half of the first episode then school work came up. Then life became crazy and I didn't have time to catch up. Now that I've graduated and I'm subsitute teaching I have more free time. I am a die hard Supernatural fan. I own all the seasons on DVD and we rewatched them from Season 1 at least once or twice a year...maybe more. You can spoil me, I just want to know what your reaction to Season 7 is so far. I'm afraid that I'll be disappointed...

College Time is Done

I AM FINISHED WITH COLLEGE! YAY! I graduate next week!!

Then, in February I am moving to Florida to work at Disney World as a character attendant in the college program.

Life Update

I’m got an audition for Opera in the Heights next week! Excited but scared to do another audition…especially since I’ve been working/yelling at high school students all semester.

I’m applying for at two college, Texas Christian University and University of Alabama. I’m only applying to two because I’m not sure if I’ll be able to afford grad school next fall.

I am half way done with student teaching and I graduate in DECEMBER!

Writer's Block: 9/11

I was in the seventh grade. During science class a teacher ran in and told our teacher what happened. We turned on the TV and watched the North Tower on fire. After a while we turned it off. Then we turned the TV on and the South Tower was burning. We turned off the TV. We turned it on and South Tower was gone. We turned it off. We turned in the TV back on and the North Tower was gone. I am grateful I didn't witness the moments that all those people died.

I didn't really get it then. In my youth and innocence I thought this is bad but it can't be that bad. They must have saved almost everyone...right? A year later when I watched the 9/11 filmed by the French brothers and a firefighter and I FINALLY REALLY realized how terrible that day really was. When I heard the thud of a jumper...I understood.

My life was changed. The school years that followed were difficult for me. In conservative Texas many wanted blood and war seemed like the best option. I am not a huge fan of war. I was often criticized for not supporting the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. I still don't believe in war in general. I understand that it is necessary but that doesn't mean I have to like it. There is no point in fighting hate with hate. Loving your neighbor and your enemy...sometimes this is the hardest thing to do as a Christian. I do try...but it is hard.

real life; we are performing The Magic Flute by Mozart in English in two weeks. TWO WEEKS! I can hardly believe it. My first lead in an opera at school and it's also my last opera at school. I'm so over this Music education degree. I cannot wait to be done and move onto graduate school. I want to go to the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama!!! PLEASE, I really want to go overseas for my masters but anywhere that isn't Texas will do.

the world; ugh, poor Japan. My heart goes out to the Japanese. It's hard to read the news and see the pictures...so I'm sure it's even worse living it. AND Libya, I don't know what the people want there but I hope the fighting ends swiftly and the outcome is just.....

Diet time

I put myself on a diet. LOL.

BIG Goals:
Eat 1600 calories a day
Work out 90 minutes a week
Drink 8 glasses of water a day
Drink one coke a week

I'm using a site called sparkpeople.com with an app on my new internet table to help me keep track of my food and exercise.

Since Saturday I have:
Only gone pass 1600 calories two days
Worked out 90 minutes
Had about 4-5 glasses of water a day
Haven't had a coke!!

OH AND I VE LOST TWO POUNDS!

I love reading everyone's entries. Everyone is sooooo interesting! I really am not that interesting.

Life so far has been school work, opera and choir madness. I have nothing to complain about. I have the lead in the opera and I just got a huge solo in a choral piece in choir. Everything is so far...GREAT!

Let's see how long it can last!

A mentioned that I was waiting for Opera Workshop results on my last post well guess what??

I got the lead in the school opera!

I will be Pamina in our production of The Magic Flute by Mozart

This is my sixth semester in opera and my first lead role. This is also the first time we've done a production this big two years! This opera contains spoken dialouge, sung recit, aria, etc.

There's a movie in English The Magic Flute (2006) that is really good.

I have to have the role learned and memorized by January 16th.

WHY REAL LIFE?

OPERA RESULTS GET POSTED TOMORROW!

If you can't tell I'm dying of anticipation! I had an amazing audition....probably the best audition of my life but that still might not be enough considering there's only ONE LEAD FEMALE ROLE! Btw, we're doing The Magic Flute by Mozart next semester.

Second aria is from Un Ball in Maschera. This is a live performance recording.

Wish I had a more interesting RL update! Also, I'm trying to find summer programs to apply to....but the best website (yaptracker.com) is fifty dollars a year. I know that doesn't sound like a lot but when each application you fill out is like 40-50...it adds up. Can it just rain money on me? :)

Almost Thanksgiving

--> So here are just a few of the things I'm thankful for this year:
My parents.
My sisters.
My best friends.
All of my friends.
My jobs (even though they cause me stress).
My teachers (most of them).
My health.
My voice.
So my life isn't perfect, I think I have a good one and have plenty to be thankful for.

--> So next semester is going to be crazy for me. Mostly because its my last semester up in Huntsville. After this I move home for my final semester of "student teaching". Then I'll graduate December 2011!

--? My friend wants me to start volunteering at a pregnancy center in town. Basically, I'd be counseling girls on their options besides abortion. This is a deep subject. On one hand, I'm that person everyone comes to talk to when they have a problem. I talk to people about deep stuff all the time. On the other hand, I'm 21 years old, never had sex so obviously never had to think about getting pregnant. I have a feeling when I counsel them they'll look at me like...'what do you know'. There is a eight-week training program but maybe this isn't the right thing for me at THIS time in my life. sigh....conflicted....

...then I turned into a little girl....

So it's finally happened. One of my best friends has gotten engaged. I mean I have had a couple close friends get engaged recently but no one my age. I love her and her fiancee to death. They've been dating for about two years. She's had some rough relationships in her life.

They are the type of couple that just make you smile when you're around them. :)

I'm pretty sure I'll be a bridesmaid but I think they are going to wait to get married till after she gets out of graduate school in two years. So I know things change...but I want to be a bridesmaid. I love wedding stuff. heeeeeeeheeee. Hence, the little girl.

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTT.....this is also a painful reminder that I am single. Which never use to bother me until recently. The things is I'm not necessarily lonely because I need a man, I'll lonely because my two closest friends in the world both are in serious relationships...so I try to give them space. This may sound mean...but I need a new best friend. Lol.

Merlin & Gwen cuteness makes my day!

--> Taking some time to catch up on my f-list! Man, everyone seems to have an awesome-ly active and creative life recently!

--> MERLIN! I love this show sooo much. I've never been really into Arthur/Gwen but this was a good episode. I need some more Merlin/Gawaine love to get me through this season. Btw, can you believe there's only three episodes left! What will I do in the Spring? When season 4 of Merlin airs...I'LL BE IN MY LAST SEMESTER OF COLLEGE!

Life right now is random.

In fan news,

I'm caught up on Community, Supernatural, Glee and Merlin. It's been hard to keep up with my other shows and I've fallen behind on Castle, Modern Family, and other.

HALLOWEEN WEEKEND! I've been invited to several parties but....I'm going to go home this weekend for a bit. I'm going home now, then coming back to school tomorrow night for my choir concert! I may go to a party on Saturday since they people hosting it are real low key and there won't be any drinking. And on Sunday we only have one church service instead of two!

I fall more in love with Colin Morgan (& Bradley) everyday!

Here's my recap for the recent episode, obviously includes spoilers and lots of screencaps!

FINALLY, someone thinks Merlin is cuter than Arthur! YAYAYAYAY! I love Arthur's sour face. The boys are so adorable....

"I'd like to see you try." I love that Merlin has so much faith in how AWESOME Arthur is.

Although, Merlin can handle himself just fine...I like a little Merlin is the damsel in distress....which happens a couple of times in this episode.

Why is it strange men always end up in Merlin's bed? Just saying....

Nice try. I thought I would be annoyed by another Gwen/male flirtation but I was again reminded why I like Gwen.

I love their heart to heart about fathers. I think Gwaine and Merlin have a much deeper relationship then Lancelot and Merlin. The episodes in my opinion are not too similar. I never thought of Gwaine as Lancelot 2.0, I thought they did a great job of establishing his character and personality!

I love when Gawain asks Merlin if he's ok. SOO sweet. In past episode if something like this were to happen...a fight would break out or Merlin wouldn't get a chance to answer or lie but HE ASKS IF MERLIN IS OK and Merlin weakly answers no...I LOVE IN-DISTRESS MERLIN!

He's worth dying for....Arthur is worth dying for. You can say that again. :)

You know I have to see the Arthur/Merlin in everything but I am understanding to the enviable Arthur/Gwen. I'm gonna love the Gwaine/Merlin fanfiction that should be starting...like now!

Random Spoilery Thought for Merlin 3x02

* I know it sounds whiny but for once I want Merlin to get some credit! UGH! I knew he wasn't but still.

* Oh, Oh, Oh! I'm curious to why Morgana hasn't tried to have Merlin turned, by telling Uther he tried to poison her or saying that he was the traitor.

* I REALLY REALLY WANTED MERLIN TO REVEAL HIS POWERS TO MORGANA! REALLY REALLY! Even though, my second thought was maybe it would be a bad idea to reveal your powers to your mortal enemy, Merlin.

*Good episode...even though I felt like someone stabbed me with a knife at the throne room scene. At least we ended with some Merlin/Arthur love. :)

I was suppose to teach voice lessons to 6-10 high school students. Four people emailed for the job and I was first so the teacher said I'd get the biggest load. Well, the other three people each got five students and I only got four. That $192 a month. Which honestly barely pays for bills, gas and food. I was hoping to make about $288 a month. I stopped working at the School of music because this job was going to pay better... know I'm getting paid less. I'm just gonna go to bed and cry now. I need that money....why am I always the one that gets screwed over?
