Charging isn’t an infrastructure problem for bus operators - it’s an availability problem. When fleets depend mainly on depot charging, operators often need extra buses on standby to ensure service continuity when vehicles are delayed, unavailable, or not fully charged for the next shift. Wireless charging shifts this model. By enabling charging along routes, buses can recharge during normal operations at selected stops and key locations - reducing reliance on full overnight depot charging. More charging availability translates into: • Higher fleet availability • Lower operational risk • Fewer spare vehicles required • Greater reliability in daily service The value of wireless charging goes beyond energy delivery. It increases how many vehicles can stay in service and reduces the operational buffer fleets need to carry. #BRT #PublicTransport #ElectricBuses #WirelessCharging #FleetOperations #EVInfrastructure #Electreon

𝗡𝗼 𝗽𝗹𝘂𝗴𝘀. 𝗡𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀. 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲. Last week at the Alliance for Automotive Innovation's Auto Tech Showcase in #Washington, D.C., we had the opportunity to demonstrate Electreon's latest wireless charging technology to federal policymakers and automotive industry leaders. Together with the Kia America team, we showcased our new wireless charging solution for light-duty vehicles, featuring an aftermarket receiver integrated into a Kia EV9. The same receiver platform is designed to enable wireless charging across multiple use cases-from homes and city parking spaces to fleet depots, and ultimately, dynamic charging on roads and highways. The demonstration builds on our framework agreement with Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) to develop and demonstrate wireless charging solutions for Hyundai and Kia vehicles, advancing a future where charging becomes seamless, automatic, and integrated into everyday mobility. Thank you to HATCI, Kia America, and the Alliance for Automotive Innovation for hosting an excellent event and fostering important discussions on the future of transportation electrification Stefan Tongur, PhD John F. Thank you NDTV for covering Electreon’s wireless charging technology and its role in supporting electric public transport operations. For operators who need their buses up and running all day, every day, an autonomous urban wireless charging network gives them the peace of mind they need to focus on passengers rather than chargers. In practice, the driver is out of the loop, the system is available 24/7 at prime operational locations, and real-time data gives operators all the control they need. This can be the difference between linear and exponential EV growth, and for India, this could make all the difference. 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭. 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫, 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞. The real trade-off: space vs. power. Traditional charging infrastructure takes up room - pedestals, safety clearances, dedicated bays. That means fewer parking spots, disrupted flow, and more complex depot operations. In many cases, depots hit a saturation point at about ~15–20% electrification before major upgrades are even considered. And placement isn’t flexible: 🔸Safety and fire regulations push chargers away from buildings 🔸Electrical constraints pull them toward transformers 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭? Vehicles load in one area, charge in another, adding handling, time, and operational friction. At the core, charging and operations are competing for the same space. 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐨𝐧’𝐬 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡: No footprint. No lost space. Charging is embedded directly into the depot/docking, So vehicles charge while loading, staging, and parking overnight. 👉 We'll be at #ACTExpo2026 in Las Vegas until May 7th. Come and say hello. #FleetElectrification #EVInfrastructure #WirelessCharging #Logistics #Electreon #ACTExpo Electreon
