I have a question about tutorials, but if this specific type isn't allowed, I won't do it in future.

I wnat to spruce up a couple photos so I can use them in icons. Does anyone know some good tutorials for enhancing color and clarity, or fixing age spots and rips or other disfigurements?

If you could help, I would be very thankful.
