FULL ICON TUTORIAL
Today I'm going to show you how to make a simple icon in Photoshop 6.0
01. I started with this picture:
from SWEETKISSES.NET
02.I cropped it down to a 100 by 100 image:
03.Then I duplicated this layer (ctrl+j) and set the blend mode to overlay. The image should now look like this:
04.After that, I made a new text layer, and wrote GLAMOROUS in Georgia, white, pt9:
05.I created a new layer underneath the type layer, and selected the font area, with the rectangular marquee tool, and filled it with 1C5513:
06.Then I made another new text layer, but used LainieDaySH at 18pt, in white, for the word Jessica:
07.I then outlined the text in black , with this tutorial from quebelly, and it came out like this:
08.I placed "Jessica" where I thought it might look best:
09.Added a 1px black outline, and ta da:
It's my first tutorial, so go easy on me. Remember, this tutorial is to be meant to use as a guide, don't copy it exactly, be creative! If there are any questions, just ask!
