Umm.... Help!

I have been wondering about something. Lately I have been iconing Event Horizon and ran into a problem with one of the caps I have. When I go to add text to the image it is extremely small. Also, not matter what blending mode I use the image doesn't change on the layer pallete. This is the only image that has done this to me, all others have worked fine. Not in subtext, or small caps, or anything like that. Any help would be great, thanks!
