Photoshop CS Question

Okay, I use PS7 and I'm wondering if there is any real good difference between PS 7 and 8? I was considering upgrading but I don't want to do it and find out I was just as well off with 7. Also, can you use PS7 brushes in PS8? I doubt it but what do I know,lol!
