New to the community, and I figured I may as well start off with a question.
I use Adobe Photoshop 7. I've tried several of the tutorials that I see around LJ, and one thing keeps giving me fits on them. When someone suggests making a solid color layer and setting it to 'Exclusion', with varying levels of opacity, depending on the icon, I know it is supposed to give the icon that nice muted color look. But I keep ending up with a solid color layer that covers up what is underneath it. Any suggestions on some setting I may need to tweak to make this trick work?
