second tutorial! Nick Santino tutorial
This is a Nick Santino [A Rocket to the Moon] tutorial. so we will be going from this to lager view of final product
I am not making this a step, so i will name it, step zero.
0. crop your picture, [sharpen it if you want. I don't sharpen]. I suggest you don't size you image down to 100x100 only because it will be harder to see the changes. But this is your choice of course. You can also choose not to crop [that's what i did]. NOTE! of course you are going to have to tweak it here and there, to suit the picture that you choose
1. Duplicate your base and set it to soft light.
2. Now make a hue and saturation layer. Saturation: -100
3. Duplicate your base again and set it too overlay
and this is what you get
4. Make a new fill layer and use: 09002a and set it to exclusion
5. Make another new fill layer and use: b6b6b6 and set it to multiply
and you should get something like this
6. Duplicate your base again and set it to screen with the opacity of 67%
7. Make a colour balance layer
Midtones: -83, -68, -100
Shadows: 14, -31, -57
Highlights: -38, -18, -7
8. Make a curves layer
RGB:

I: 0 O: 0
RED:
I: 229 O: 255
I: 6 O: 0
GREEN:
I: 236 O: 255
I: 0 O: 0
BLUE:
I: 220 O: 225

and you should get something like this

R: 78
G: 30
B: 20
GREEN:
R: 26
G: 60
B: 6
BLUE:

11. Make another colour balance layer.
Midtones: 18, -10, 32
Shadows: -10, 22, 9
Highlights: -12, -8, -12
and this is what you should get
Now you see that purple hue you get? i didn't like much so i decided to make it a blueish hue.
12. Make another Hue and Saturation layer.
Note: this step isn’t necessary, I used this step because I didn’t like the purple hue that we have now.
Master: Saturation: -9
Red: Saturation: 26
Yellow: Saturation: 33
Green: Saturation: 20

If you get confused about something, Just comment :) I would be happy to help you out
Translate: yes!
Program: CS2
Difficulty: you are going to need to know a little about it. Other than that, it's not difficult.
