Smudge lines
Hey there!!! I'm going to need pointers, and I don't really know what effect this would come under, if there is such an effect, etc... Anyway, I have an image, etc, so I'll just stick this under a cut.
OK, this is the effect I'm trying to get...
I did this myself by drawing a white line, the passing over it in both directions with the smudge tool (I used in of those brushes you use for old film icons where the little choppy lines appear).
Anyway, I'm trying to figure out a way to do this without the line appearing. I'm using Photoshop 6 and I've figured out I can't delete the white line without messing up the smudges (and I can't delete just that step from history or else everything after it disappears as well.)
So can I get that affect in a different way, without doing the line I'd get the smudges from? Help please! :P
Plus I'm looking for the creator of this icon, anybody know?
