simple icon colouring tutorial
This is a fairly simple yet effective colouring tutorial I use to create my icons to make them 'pop' a little more. This tutorial is for Adobe Photoshop.
From this:
to this:
First open up your plain 100 x 100 image in Photoshop:

Then right-click on the image layer and select 'Duplicate Layer.' On this new layer go up to the top menu bar and go Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation. While in this menu tick the 'colorise' box and input these numbers:
Hue: 347
Saturation: 25
Lightness: 0
then click Ok. Your new layer should now look like this:

Now change the layer to 'Overlay' and your image should look something like this:

Now just add text or extra details and there you have it!

I hope that's helpful, if you have any questions just ask.
