I sharpened the base, I felt like it didn't need a screen layer.
S T E P 1- fill layer on difference 100%: 160D00.
S T E P 2- channel mixer layer: REDS, +100, -20, 0
S T E P 3- selective color layer: REDS, -100, +100, +100, +100. YELLOWS, +100, -30, -30, -50. BLACKS, 0, 0, 0, +5.
And viola.
TIP: I've discovered that using a tutorial like this would be best w/ photos that have a lot of reds/browns with quite a saturation. Otherwise it'll come out like crap, like so:
The above image was totally not the affect I was looking for. You've just got to be smart with it. There weren't many reds in this photo, so the whole point with the selective coloring would be useless.
