So we are working with and image of Bill Kaulitz, Lead singer for the band Tokio Hotel and it was taken during the 2008 MTV VMA's where the band won Best Artist YES!!! (Click Here For The Image)
Now This Image is a HQ so its huge sorry,. I cropped the side of his face *note: we are making a icon not a high school yearbook so basic cropping is boring, so have some fun.* and I got my base.
Okay Now that we have our base image we can begin our icon.
Step 1: Duplicate your base image twice and set both to Screen at 100% Ocpacity.
Step 2: Create a new Color Fill Layer of 082662 and set it to Differance at 32% Ocpacity.
Step 3: Create a new Color Fill Layer of 241103 and set it to Exclusion at 100% Ocpacity.
Step 4: Create a new Color Fill Layer of 000000 and set it to Soft Light at 100% Ocpacity.
Step 5: Now Make sure you forground color is set to ffffff (White)
and go to "Create Adjustment Layer" and Select Gradient,
make sure the Gradient is white and its Foreground is Transparent.
Set the Gradients Scale to 150
Turn the Gradient to a angle of 150.94
and you should have this...
