to

Step 1: Get a picture, I got mine from kuikwardmarks at livejournal.

Step 2: Crop, rotate, whatever. I think you know the drill by now.

Step 3: Go to Layers, New Adjustment Layer, and Curves. Make a new point and on RGB, make the Input 80 and the output 125. For more help, refer to my screenie.
Step 4: Go to Layers, New Adjustment Layer, and Hue/Saturation/Lightness. Make the Saturation +30.
Step 5: Go to Layers, New Adjustment Layer, and Channel Mixer. Make the output channel blue, and make the blue (%) 125.
Step 6: Make a new layer, fill it with #efda9f and put it on multiply.
Step 7: Go to Layers, New Adjustment Layer, and Curves. Don't make a new point, but make the Input 212.
Step 8: Now, I used a texture from Kekoah at Livejournal. I used this one and put it on screen.

You can rotate, whatever.
Step 9: Make a Color Balance layer by going to Layers, New Adjustment Layer, and Channel Mixer. Under Color Levels, make the boxes say -100, 21, and 20, respectively. Make sure the tone balance at the bottom is selected to Midtones.
Viola! You should have gotten the effect I did! :)
