How to make
-in Adobe Photoshop
-PSD included
1.Take this texture by
expose42 and resize to 100x100 pixels (I wanted less green so I blurred some of the light blue along the right edge into the center)
2. Take this image of Basch and cut him out with either the Magic Wand Tool, Magnetic Lasso Tool or just a rubber
3. Resize Basch to 160 x 219, paste him on top of the texture, move him about a little
4 .Grab a soft eraser (about size 50, opacity 50%) and erase the bottom of Basch a little so he look more blended into the background. Don't overdo it.

That was the easy part for me, hardest part for you. Now it's just colouring etc and I so can't remember what I did *sigh*
5. Layer>> New Adjustment Layer>> Hue Saturation: Master: +20
Set to Normal 100%
Duplicate or repeat this layer and set to Soft Light 75%
=
6. Layer>> New Adjustment Layer>> Channel Mixer
Red: +100, -6, -6
Green: +8, +100, -6
Blue: 0, +6, +100
=
7. Layer>> New Adjustment Layer>> Levels Opacity: 50%
*Note I always use Levels to change the contrast
RGB: 23, 0.88, 247
Blue: 17 0.93 288
Make another Levels Layer, this time with different settings:
RGB Input: 48, 1.57, 255
Output: 0, 233
=
8. Make a light blue layer ( # BFDEE7 )
Set to Soft Light #54%
Make a pale pink/brown Colour Burn layer ( #ECDDD2 )
Set to Colour Burn 100%
Now you could skip this layer but I'm fussy and want the icon to look exactly like the original. So:
9. Make a Selective Color Layer (Layer>> New Adjustment Layer>> Selective Color)
Reds: -40, -20, +40, +100
Neutrals: 0, -10, 0, 0
10. New Fill Layer ( #BDDAE3 ) Darken 50%
11. Set this textureto lighten. Texture by

For this one:
the only thing I did differently was change the textures behind Ashe. They are
by
expose42 duplicate twice so there are 3 of them and set the second two to Multiply
Take this texture:
by
vol4itca and set to Pin Light.
The End! Hope that was useful :)
