how do i make

ok i've posted this before, and someone answered me. dont get me wrong the tutorials help alot, but i was only able to understand one of them out of 3. but im still greatful she helped me :D. i just want to get really good at them.

how do i make these type of icons. i have both photoshop cs2 and paintshop pro 9. i've never really used image ready so hopefully the tutorias will be easy to understand in that part. but i have animation shop, i understand that one better
