I was requested to make a tutorial from some of my POTC icons so here ya go. Hope you'll find it useful! :)

1. Photobucket So here's our base. Dublicate & screen if needed.


2. Add a new solid color layer #cb6a4c Photobucket and set it to softlight at 100%

3. And another solid color layer #17c9e9 Photobucket and set it to softlight at 100%

4. And another one #aaa7a7 Photobucket and set it to softlight at 16%

5. Just one more #f00d0d Photobucket and set it to multiply at 11%.

6. Now make a selective coloring layer with following settings:
REDS: 65, 30, 27, -72
YELLOWS: -33, 17, -6, 11
WHITES: -18, 0, 0, 0
NEUTRALS: 17, 8, 6, -8
BLACKS: 100, 100, 100, 20

7. Now add some curves:
INPUT: 23
OUTPUT: 35

8. No it's time to add some texures, Yey. So, firstly. Add this texture:
Photobucket made by lookslikerain and set it to screen at 83% or more if you like.

9. Now add this brush/texture:
Photobucket made by ???, please tell me if you know who made it. I've looked everywhere and can't find the maker :(. But still, let's set this gorgeous texture to multiply at 100%.

10. And finally, the last texture:
Photobucket made by haudvafra to screen at 100%.

11. Add texts etc if you like and voila, you're icon is ready!

+ Note: this tut doesn't work for all images like this. It can give you very different result with different images.

Ps. Sorry I haven't got a PSD file but don't really know where to upload one. But hey it's not so hard to make it from the beginnig once! Then you can save your icon as a PSD file and next time is already easier :).
