Made w/Photoshop.

Uses: Selective Coloring, Channel Mixer, Color Balance, Hue/Saturation, Color Fill

Not Transferable to other programs because of Selective Color, sorry.

Step 1: Base

I took this screencap of Farscape from www.farscapecaps.com.

a) I went to Image > Image Size > and changed the width to 300, with the constrain proportions on, the height changed automatically to 225.

b) Then I went to File > New… > and made a new canvas of 200x200 pixels.

c) I dragged my screencap onto this new canvas and maneuvered it around until I liked it.

d) After that, I went to Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen.

e) Then I went to Image > Image Size > and resized my image to 100x100 pixels.

f) Finally, I took a soft brush and blurred the skin of my subject, making sure to avoid the edges and natural lines of the face.

Now you should have your base to work with!

Step 2: Coloring

I’m not going to show you how my image looked after every step because each picture is different, tweak the settings, play around with it…have fun!
