001: Jokerizing

Ok lets get started! (:

Step 1 --- Creating the Base Picture
First, desaturate your picture by going to Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Black & White, and then click OK.
Secondly, Merge All Layers, and then Duplicate Layer >> Soft Light.

Step 2 --- The Eyes
For the eyes, your best bet is to choose a soft edged brush, for my picture, I used a 3px one, but this would change depending on the size of your picture.

Create a New Layer.

Use your soft edged brush to put a line around each eye, I set my colour to black (#000000).
I then repeated this step, go round the eye again.
Now the part that makes it look better, take a splatter brush, I used this one. 
Make the brush smaller, to around 19 or 20, and go around the eye to achieve a splatter kind of look. Do the same around the other eye.

Then set this layer onto soft light and make the opacity lower, mine was set at 58%.

Step 3 --- The Lips

This is really the hardest bit to do on this tutorial, you need to make it messy otherwise you look like a drag queen! =D

Once again, create a new layer. 

Using the same sized brush as used before, go around the lips in a deep red color, as if you were applying lipstick in photoshop, then go around the outside a bit more messily,dragging it up towards your eyes, so you have a quite joker-y look.

After this, take the same splatter brush as used before, and do the same splattered, messy effect around the edges. Looks pretty cool huh? (:

Now I set this layer to Color Burn 100%

Step 4 --- The Hair

The hair is pretty easy to do, depending on how much you want. 

It also depends on wether you have light or dark hair. 

So first, create a new layer.

Using a quite vibrant green, use a bigger brush to apply it to the hair. Apply a little bit and then set this layer to Color Burn 100% 
If it looks ok, keep going, if it doesn't just delete the layer.
