Tutorial #1 || Bill Kaulitz
This is the second tutorial that I do but the first that I post here, I hope that it's clear enough explained (since I am not very good explaining, and less translating in English :_ xD) buuut I hope that it uses you as something ^^
How to make this:

First, we choose the base of our icon (I have used this one of alterna666.deviantart.com <3) and with the tool of selection 
we do a circle (I have done a circle, but you can do the form that you want!) and then paint it with the paint bucket 
. (I have done a circle under which the gif will go, to make it more cool xD)
The base already is made.
We open with the Image Ready our gif, and do click in this button to edit it in Photoshop
(I make it like that because it seems to me easier to work with the Photoshop)
We select the first cap of the gif that we want to move to the avatar, give it to copy (Edit/Copy).
We choose the magic wand tool
and, in the base, select the cap of the circle, and do click inside the white circle. Then it will remain selected. We go to Edit/Edit inside and the first cap of the gif will appear inside the circle.
Later, we do the same thing with the other caps of the gif. (Attention -> assure you that the caps are in numerical order (Cap 1, Cap 2, Cap 3...) because with the option to stick inside they will remain untid)
Done! We have our made gif, now it is necessary to give animation to it.
Use the tool To edit in Image Ready
Now, in the window of animation, there will be the base of our icon, which we will have to copy with the icon selected in red so often as caps of the gif we have introduced.
We select the first cap of the window of animation and in the window of caps, select the first cap that corresponds to the gif and do click in the first square, that of the eye. Do the same thing with all the caps.
And ta-daah! Already our made avatar - gif is, now we will can to add things.
