First post: Icon Color Recipe No. 1
First post! I've been playing around for a few days in spare moments here and there trying to find a coloring that would work with most bases, regardless of what their dominant color was. And so, I present to you:
Icon Color Recipe No. 1
to
1. Open your base.
2. Duplicate your base layer and set it to SCREEN at 60% (this step should be adjusted to your base; more screen layers or changing the opacity until it looks ok)
3. New LEVELS layer. Input(62, 2.2, 255)
4. New COLOR BALANCE layer.
Midtones(12, 100, 100)
Shadows(15, -35, -33)
Highlights(7, 8, -8)
5. New CHANNEL MIXER layer.
Red(98, 3, -8)
Green(-1, 101, -6, Constant:-1)
Blue(-12, -3, 82, Constant:24)
6. Finished!
Other examples (using EXACT same values as above):
