This is a good one for really grey caps, as it comes out a bit yellow if the caps are too saturated in the first place. But you can always mess around with it and get your own effect.

Ok, take your base:

...and screen it.. lots. I mean more times that is necessary. You may need to go back at the end and screen it again because there's a multiply layer which darkens it.

1. New selective colour layer:
REDS: -60, +40, +33, 0
YELLOWS: -65, +100, +75, -41
NEUTRALS: +40, 0, -25, -15
Set to soft light 55 %

2. New selective colour layer:
REDS: -60, +40, +83, 0
YELLOWS: -64, +100, 0, -41
NEUTRALS: +40, 0, -25, -14
Set to hard light 70%

3. New selective colour layer:
REDS: -38, -12, +5, +10
YELLOWS: +25, 0, -19, 0
GREENS: +40, 0, 0, 0
CYANS: +40, 0, 0, 0
MAGENTAS: +20, -30, 0,-20
NEUTRALS: +20, -10, -12, +8
Set to multiply 100%

4. Colour balance layer:
MIDTONES: +22, -8, -38

5. New selective colour layer:
YELLOWS: -40, 0, +35, 0
CYANS: +40, 0, 0, 0
BLUES: +50, 0, -35, 0
MAGENTAS: -70, -15, +10, -25
Set to normal 80%

6. New hue/saturation layer:
MASTER SAT: +20
REDS: -20
