Crop your base and sharpen image.


#1. Duplicate image and set to Screen.


#2 Solid Colour #f2e2cc - set to Soft Light.


#3. Selective Colour
R: -50, -15, +100, 0
Y: +100, 0, -100, 0
C: +100, 0, 0, 0
N: +60, +20, +30, 0


#4. Colour Balance
Mid: +15, 0, 0
Shad: 0, 0, +52 ~ NOTE: Might have to adjust for your pic. If it's a really dark picture I usually set it to +30.
High: 0, -6, -25


#5. Solid Colour #25648c - set to Exclusion - Fill 10%


#6. Selective Colour
W: +100, 0, +100, 0
N: +25, 0, -10, 0


And you're DONE for the colouring. Now comes the optional steps if you want to know how I made the above icon exactly.

#7. With this texture

Flip it horizontally. And set it to Screen.


#8. Then just add the text "Shades of Grey"
