I was asked to make a tutorial.. yes, I made it ;D

. I use PS CS2.
1. First of all, dublicate your layer twice. Set both to screen , first - 100%, second - 30 - 60 % , that depends.
We will get this:
2. Now we will use Selective Color.
REDS:
C -100
M -20
Y +20
B 0
YELLOWS:
C -100
M 0
Y +100
B -100
NEUTRALS:
C +70
M +20
Y -36
B 0
BLACKS: (almost in all my icons I use this, it makes it a little bit more interesting ;D )
C 0
M 0
Y 0
B +100
You will get this:
3. Just add +20 Saturation.
4. Next Selective color layer.
REDS:
C -100
M +25
Y +33
B 0
NEUTRALS:
C +18
M -5
Y +15
B +5
Icon should look like:
and the last step left.
5. Color Balance. Midtones.
-21 +9 0
Preserved Luminosity is checked.
Voila. You should get this:
