This may seem like a very silly question.

However, it's important:-

1- How do you save the steps you use to make an icon so you don't have to do it over and over again?  Yes, like a PSD.

2- How do you make PSDs work for that matter? I download them, PS opens, the steps are there but the icon doesn't change.

Any help is greatly appreciated and quite needed. :)
