Involves: Variations & Selective Coloring


This will be the simplest tutorial you will ever do in your life. Seriously. They're are only two steps. :)

However, you will need to download this file into your Photoshop files (presets > photoshop actions folder).

1. Take your icon once you've cropped it to 100x100 and go to
Layers > Duplicate Layer.
2. One the duplicate, go to
Image > Adjustments > Variations

3. When you get into the Variations dialog box, click on Load.
This is where you load that file you just downloaded from me. After you've clicked Load, click Ok.
Set Background Copy to Multiply at 86%.

4. Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color
Red: -17, +6, +41, +11
Yellow: +100, 0, -100, 0
Blues: +100, -100, -41, +100
Magentas: -100, +63, +100, 0
Whites: +100, +52, +47, +19
Neutrals: +8, -9, -48, -9
Leave at Normal, 100%

And you're finished!
