Icon Help
I'm a beginner icon maker, and I've run up against some problems. Mostly with blurry text and "pixelated" resolution/picture quality. I hope someone can help. I use PSP 8.
One, When I make my icons, they look fine when I am modifying them and such, but as soon as I save them and all layers are merged, they look all pixely like they were sharpened way too much, except they weren't. I usually sharpen only once. Other times they are far too blurry, as if the soften tool was used too much. And Two, when I write text into the icon, whenever I save it and merge all layers, it is always blurry and undefined. The text isn't like this when I'm working on the icon. Only after it is merged and saved. This also happens when I twist text onto it's side (like in #2).
I use PSP 8 and am somewhat familiar with the various functions, but no means an expert. I've included some examples of icons I've made with these problems. Please ignore coloring, my question is about text and resolution quality, I guess.
